Guys, thank you for all the help so far.

I know that this is sort of random, but maybe you have advise for me regarding the driver's license. My one will expire very shortly as will my current EAD card.

I have a valid passport and still my student visa which says on it that it is valid for one more year (though I am not a student anymore), and of course all the NOAs.

On Thursday my AP and new EAD card were approved but I do not have anything in writing yet (online tracker only). Will it be out of question to go to the DMC and ask for a renewal with the documents I got ? I know I needed my EAD when I applied for it last year... I know that is kinda random, so I apologize for it...

All the best to the ones waiting for the interview !!!

Congrats !!!!!!!

How long did it take from "case approved" to getting the card ?

Just 10 days! Approved on the 8th may, sent on Friday just gone and I received it in today's mail. It was sent to me priority mail in a special envelope by the looks of it!

@flyr yes I guess NYC office since that's where we are. But so far it seems to be still stuck in the first office. No status update since Feb 19 when they accepted fingerprint fee so I've no idea. I'm guessing we will have to wait the full year but I'm not sure. We are happy w the EAD and AP so at least working and seeing family back home is ok....

Where did u see a NOV possible date?

@soydeel

I called the national call center a couple of times. The last time I was told that the update on transfer takes a while to update. I also read somewhere that all "standard" AOS is done in field office so that makes NYC the location for me. (Call center told me mine is in NYC)

Actually I meant November because the last USCIS update (early May) said that as of March 31, 2015 the office was working on August 16th filings.

The update prior to this (feb 28 update) had July 22 as the application date.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

So if we use beginning date as August 16 and ending date as March 31 we can calculate 151 business days (based on federal and NY state holiday schedule) (227 calendar days. I used timeanddate.com to calculate.

My NC date of Feb 10 plus 151 business days gets me to Sept 16. (218 calendar days)

@soydeel I meant Sept. Not Nov.

So My Interview Was Today At 11 Am at the Oakland Park Office in Florida and I was Approved! I got there at 10:45 and Checked in But Wasn't Called until 12:40, I also took my kids because I had no one to watch them for those who are wondering. no one really cared, my kids are 5 and 3 and there were a lot of younger children also. The Interview itself only took 15 minutes and the officer was wonderful! He laughed with my children and as soon as we sat down he was already explaining about The Conditional Residency and then he asked me about my app. My Name, Birth date, Parents name, where we lived, if my Number Was the Same and then the questions on the app, Like have you ever committed a crime blah blah blah. then he asked for any original documents we brought because he wanted to compare them with the copies in my file, everything was fine so he told me to sign a paper took a copy of our ids and we were on our way. When I was eating right down the street like 15 minutes later I got the emails and texts that my case was approved and my card is in production! I cannot say enough how nice the officer was! I was so glad we got him because most of the other couples were taking a reeeeally long time or they were separating the couples I was kind of nervous but so relived when I walked out of there! Good Luck to All waiting!

Today, I called to USCIS because my form i-485 haven't changed the status since March 20, (ready for schedule an interview) ... I already receive my Permit to Work.. But still hace that pendind and they told me that they're making interviews of cases pending since Sept 2014 so this could take a while like 4 months.... That's the answer..

My case starts with MSC and applied on Feb 10

Anyone with same case?

Relax. I filed on Feb 3 and my i-485 status hasn't even changed to "ready to schedule..." so you're fine. Just be patient.

We just had a crazy situation at our AOS interview.

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Bomb-Threat-Shuts-Down-Part-of-DTLA-Near-Federal-Building-304460131.html

We were 2/3 of the way through the interview when the building was evacuated. On the way out, our interviewer said she thought she had enough to make a decision but would let us know within 2 weeks if she needed us to come back, and that we shouldn't wait around.

The building was closed for at least 4 hours so waiting would certainly have been difficult. I feel really bad for the people who were waiting or who had interviews scheduled during that time.

We were hoping for more resolution on the interview day, but hopefully everything is good...

(And thankfully no one was hurt, and it seems she did not in fact have a real bomb. But it was very dramatic, closed off several blocks of DTLA and there were SWAT/Bomb Squad/cops everywhere).
