Hi!!

So I got my NOA1 for the EAD and it said they received it Feb 11th. I moved twice (one was a temporary for 2 weeks) and did the respectively changes of address (now I live 3h and a half from my previous address). The only problem is that I haven't received any updates yet on my case. My case status hasn't change (still says the date they received it) and it's stressing me out because I've called like a million times and they are not being helpful. I just want to know if they sent me any mail to my previous addresses and they can't even tell me that! what worries me most is that I couldn't get to my biometrics appointment because I didn't know abut it!!! Last time I called was today and they filed out a request about sending me the biometrics appointment info or whatever. I was told they have 15 days to process this. My questions are:

1. Has anybody never received anything about the biometrics yet?

2. If I did lost my biometrics appointment because of my change of address, can I be given another shot?

3. Is anything about the biometrics show on My case status?

4. Did you receive your biometrics info just by mail or also any other main?

Thank you so much for your help! I really need it!!! :(

Hello Pao&Zach,

so i also changed my address and haven't received any notices (except for the biometrics, i got that one). Just like you, i used to call the USCIS almost every day and bother them about the notices. They wouldn't do anything. Then i completed the request for all my cases (i-131, 485, 765), if you haven't done it, definitely do it. It is the only way how you can communicate to them that something is off, if you don't then they might think you just abandoned your case (which people do, so it wouldn't be surprising to them).

Anyways, i waited forever for them to respond to one of my requests, and then finally they did (29 days after i submitted it) and i got an email from them:

"The status of this service request is:

Recently, you contacted us to let us know that you did not receive a notice related to your case. A review of our systems indicates that we have received your biometrics, your application has no outstanding hold or Request for Evidence (RFE), and remains in process. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, please call customer service at the number provided below."

1. as far as your biometrics, i would make an info pass appointment: https://infopass.uscis.govand you can tell them in person

2. you can be given another shot for your biometrics, but i was told by an immigration specialist that for them to approve that you must show that you have been trying to fix it (such as info pass appointment and requests)

3. on my "my case" status, it said "we received your application" and then maybe 5-6 weeks later it said "the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number MSC...., because they could not deliver it." because of that time i have already submitted requests for all my cases, there is nothing more i could do. then i received the email, which calmed me down.

4. I believe that biometrics appointment comes only in mail.

I hope this is not too confusing. If so, ask more questions, i will do better job answering them.

oh i just remembered something!!!!! So one time, when i called the USCIS, freaking out that i haven't received any mail, worried that i missed my biometrics, i got transferred to a different person and they could see the date of my appointment!!!!!! They told me that it is in 8 days, i received the mail the next day. So i would call them again and demand that they transfer you to a higher level worker?

Thank you for your responses czechjtn, Angel012110 and deeder.

Yesterday I sent a request for my EAD but not for I 485 (I didn't send AP). I was told they have 15 days to give me a response.

1. Should I also send one request for my I-485 too?

2. Is the biometrics for both I-485 and I-765?

3. Why would I need an info pass? Did you do that?

thank you again!
