I did the Biometrics on the scheduled date and time. No, I didn't get any SMS or email for status update. I just randomly check my status online.

Hi prince_86, when you get the chance could you kindly update your timeline? It will be helpful to other VJ members. Keep us posted as I think you are ahead of other Feb filers -- your post actually got me excited and I'm hoping to see updates in my status too!

Received the Biometrics letter for I-485 and I-765 on March 8th (dated Feb 27th), the appointment was today. Got done with biometrics in 10 mins. I asked the person if there was going to be a separate biometrics letter for I-131 and she said yes.

Thanks for sharing!! So now I know I should be expecting another letter for I-131.

Dear people,

This is the first post I am writing here and I am sad to have to start with asking question regarding bad news I received today. We, like all of you sent my application package mid of February and my wife and I were very excited about all this and thought that we had approached the whole process very professionally. And until today it seemed to be that way indeed. I very recently had my biometrics appointment and we were both so happy that so far everything had been working so smoothly.
But today we received a Request of Initial Evidence notice that really shocked us. We made one stupid mistake and already tomorrow we can express mail the evidence. It is really not hard to get information and if everything works out, it will be there in 2 days.
However, I am aware that this could delay the whole process. Our question is how big the delay could be ? Is it still realistic to hope to keep up the normal timeline more or less or is this wishful thinking ? How many more months do we have to expect now ? :-( I really feel so stupid.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Good luck to all of you !

Doesn't Really Delay The Process that much just 1 or 2 weeks until they receive your Information and Process it. I think the EAD reset timer thing is not true as I have seen people get RFE's and Their EAD is approved soon after.

They didn't indicate to her that they had any problem with her fingerprints when she was there on 3/5. She's hoping this doesn't delay her EAD or AP.

I just checked our online status and it seems we've been sent RFE. It's says they've mailed us a letter explaining what it is. Is there any way for us to find out what it is before the letter arrives so we can get on with it ahead of time. Our biometrics is still booked for next week so I'm hoping this won't really delay things at all since we're still going ahead with that appointment. Any ideas?! We thought we had included everything we needed since we had spoken to an immigration lawyer and even added additional things to the pack just in case!

britingeorgia,

I'm sorry about the RFE letter. We are expecting one as well. However, there is nothing you can do until you receive the letter. Even if you talk to somebody on the USCIS Helpline, they won't be able to tell you.

I might be wrong, but I don't think RFE should delay getting a work permit, but i'm not sure ...
