Zimmerman seems to want the attention too. People in his situation with half a brain and a little self awareness would realize they are going to draw additional scrutiny and attention in those situations. Most people would avoid encounters with law enforcement and the media.

It's the same behavior now as got him in to this situation in the first place. He's not being made a target by someone else. He is doing it to himself.

If you have a history of violence and temper problems people tend to make assumptions.

And when you're a walking gossip paycheck, like GZ, people can get greedy and make false accusations, just to get a little payday.

Now, if the prosecution had just charged GZ appropriately for the TM incident, and not been goaded into pursuing a murder charge they could not win, then GZ would currently be rotting away in prison, out of sight and out of mind.

I think its more likely that GZ isn't a particularly nice bloke. A history of violence lends itself to a reasonable inference of that conclusion.

I always wondered about that meme: It looks like the Dems have their heads firmly planted up the Reps rear orifice, not a pleasant experience, I imagine, for either party.

And as far as any vision, I don't see how the Dems can see much, with that perspective.
