Most people who need 212s also need 601s and they are done together.

Solo 212 is a relatively rare beast and I understand they can be done without an underlying visa refusal. Doing it this way is very rare, well I have only seen it mentioned once so a bit of an assumption.

Looking at the dates it seems there is also an overstay.

I think the adoption age limit is 16 and wonder why the OP would not know. Not an easy process.

New one on me.

You started saying you were not adopted and then you are not sure?

Something you could find out very easily.

Yea I need to really find out what's going on :/ I was young when she did the process I think it did go thru ,, but it's just the adjustment of status that couldn't be completed . It's she who the lawyer talk to about every thing that he is doing !she tells me what she can . Wch is that next I have to go for interview at the embassy . . The lawyer says he is waiting for the petition to go thru to nvc for pre processing that's what he tell me thru email. But I'm tryna find out exactly what petition was sent .

Long detention & ankle bracelet? were U accused of anything except an overstay?

If adopted seem something would get done here, U would not be an over-stayer

Yes lone I212 is rare but filed by a few ppl well, they can take 2-24 mths...filed

in the jurisdiction a person is deported from , those waivers are done at local

level ...sometimes one finds out after , their situation requires I 601 with a qualifying

person to waive you like parents or spouse...kids cannot waiver parents on overstays

but can on some CIMT....hopefully OP has a waiver atty that knows the process.

A lone I212 approved is just approved by district director in deported jurisdiction an

atty should know that

Honestly guys I guess I don't knw much about my case as I thought ok when it comes to all that's being filed I just left it in the hands of my grandmother and lawyer . I just try to take it easy n hope for the best . But I really need to know everything that was done specifically. Maybe he did file the I 160 I'm not sure . My gran/ just give me a approval paper to carry to embassy when I have interview that' was all .

You can only file an I601 if the consulate issues you a 221G

and you have to have a qualified member of family to do it (if you

were adopted fine) but something is missing, all adults knows whats on

their birth certificates, or adoption papers and that would be together, also

it would be addressed at the deportation hearing. If U have not been thru NVC

yet there is a long way to go then another wait it after interview YOU qualified

You should also have a NVC # if waiting in an interview to be schedule. I give

info because U obviously don't understand the procedures & immigrants cases

needs an hands-on approach....This is a forum to help ppl in the process...U

maybe a bit resistant in the info you are receiving but use it to pose pertinent

questions to your atty and g/Ma

So what happened?

an interesting thread which needs a conclusion.
