Do we print our I94 before flying or is that something they just review online and we print after we are here?

You get your i94 here after he's arrived in the states.

You'll need it for AOS and for his SSN.

I received the Embassy letter giving the interview date today. Seemed rather quick as I only had the medical last week (9th June), so that's 10 days to get the letter. The interview is July 20th early afternoon. Would have been nice to have had an earlier date, but considering the stats in the "time from medical to interview" thread 5 weeks and 6 days is pretty good. If they can sort out the printing visa debacle by then I might get to be with my partner at the beginning of August (L)

Thanks Shana! It's nice to have a date so that we now have a light at the end of the tunnel. 6 months of being apart is not easy, but now we can look forward to being together again likely early August. I can't wait! :dancing:

Fingers crossed for you Yuna! Hopefully the issue is only the printing of visas, not the actual interviews, which going by my date appears to be the case. Hope you get your interview letter as quick

I believe that the problem you may have is that the NOA2 (I-797) has an expiry date of about 4 months from the date of issue. I think they can be extended within reason, but as your approval was in May, then yours will likely expire by the beginning of September.

Why not have the medical done and then push back the date of the interview?

Yes it expires September 4th, I've had confirmation from the embassy that it's able to extend for a further 4 months with a new letter of intent either at the interview or by post - that's in hand so no worries there.

I'm not planning on leaving the UK till mid March due to commitments here so October is the earliest time that fits in.

I went to see the civil surgeon last wednesday finally, they were so friendly there and they even let us have my appointment early as we arrived at 10 am and my appointment had been for 11am. It was really straight forward, the two vaccines I had to have really hurt though. I had the tetanus and dipheria, polio one and the MMR second doze. the tetanus vaccine hurt for two days though. While we were in the city we also went to the mall of america after the medical clinic. Next we are going to print alll the forms, gather all the evidence and get my passport size photos and pay the fees. I am so glad we are finally starting my AOS, mainly so I can starting working soon. I am happy though that I am in America and that I see my husband everyday and we got a dog together too.
