Didn't realize how bad these attacks were until I started reading the forums properly again and not just looking for the juicy gossip ones... I know you all do it!

I hope those with upcoming interviews wont be affected too badly, I'm not all up to date on the going ons, I'll have to educate myself a bit on it.

We were just approved and my fiance was told that due to the delays he can expect his visa in 3-4 weeks. I can't even comment further than that because I am beyond upset. And to be honest- because I believe NOTHING this government says- I don't even know if that's a true statement. She said they are "hoping" to have the issue fixed by the end of the week. Again...not believing that either. We were looking at being reunited next week. Now that's clearly not going to happen and it's literally soul crushing. That's the only way to describe it. So that's the information we were given from the UK embassy today.

I am So sorry, after all the hard work, to be delayed by this...

I'd love to say at least the hard bits over! But we all know its the waiting that's the hard part,

All I was thinking at the time was how ridiculous my husband is, all he could say was that America are going to war with China! And he thinks that'd be something to be proud of...

I'm wishing the best for all of you who are going to be delayed by this.

Thank you. I thought the hard bit was over too. I thought we would be so happy today. I guess you have to have been going through this for as long as we have to even slightly grasp how heart breaking it is. To be that close to the end and have this happen. When everyone before you has been able to get their visas within 10 days.

Oh my days this is a pain in the #######. After I literally missed the May visas interviews by a day they then put my interview on June 23rd and now its gonna be an even longer wait afterward. The level of incompetence in US government systems seems to have no end or bounds.

EDIT: those who have been approved recently congratulations. Please keep up updated on when you receive your documents back and have your visa in hand

Hi you guys. I just want to say, for those who have already approved visas, and are just waiting for their passports, use the time wisely. 3-4 weeks may be a long wait but is nothing, after all our hard work on our journey to be with our special someone. Use this time to sort out all your affairs. And start cherishing the moments you'll have with your family and friends whom you are leaving behind. Start packing up your bits and pieces. I thought had more than enough time to pack my flat (nearly tossed in the kichen sink as well.;) ) But I ended up giving way more of my things to charity as well. My fiance came to London for a bit of a holiday as well and helped me pack up my things. My last 2 weeks in London were not enough to say goodbye to all my friends and family.. Getting teary eyed here now.

By the way I arrived in LA last night. I had no problems with immigration. I just handed him my packet and my passport. We did light chatter, mostly him asking me if I will be missing my friends and family and I did say yes. By the way, I read somewhere in one of the threads here, that I need the customs arrival card. But when I handed it over to one of the customs official, he said that they will need it. I will make a proper review about my POE experience. As we now need to sort out our wedding on saturday :)

Have a good day everybody :) :)

There's two parts to arrival in the US.

IMMIGRATION which is checking your visa, passport, etc. The form I-94 documents the immigration and it is what you need for getting SSN and for AOS. No longer a card on the plane. Retrieve yours online.

CUSTOMS which is making sure you didn't smuggle anything illegal in and that you list any items you are bringing that need to be declared. That's a card you fill out and turn in. Not needed by you.

Congrats to those approve today!

I can only hope and pray by the time his interview comes around, that such delays are not still going on. :(

I agree, I'm always quite surprised at how many people get their passports and are gone the next day. Obviously some people say their goodbyes and pack up their things before they receive their visa, but I'm more of the cautious type and never book anything until I'm 100% certain everything will be ok! I stayed in England an extra month by choice to tie up loose ends and I'm so glad I did (I was someone who thought they'd be gone when they got their K-1 too!). It absolutely sucks for those who are itching to go and are faced with a delay that's completely out of their hands, but make the most of that time. See all your friends and family multiple times - you really will miss them when you're over here and realise there's no just popping back home to see them anymore.

Glad to hear you got to LA alright, bonzaigirl!!

I'm still waiting for my NOA2 for AP and EAD (don't expect to see AOS any time soon!).

I cant believe this, im in utter despair, i have my wedding on July 25th, its all been booked, family are flying in. Looks like i may not be there. I have my interview on June 22nd. I'm panicking. Thats just under 5 weeks from the 22nd. I dont know what to do.

I feel your despair believe me...I was looking forward to being reunited with my fiancé next week. The good news is you have 3 people who interviewed today (my fiancé included) and you'll get an idea of how much longer the wait may be once we get our visas. I'm not going to give you any feel good advice because I'm sure you're feeling what the rest of us are feeling right now who have not been given visas-are not with our loved ones- and are at the mercy of the government. I'll be checking daily on the progress and any updates I get I will definitely share ?

Well they have a week before you even go interview to work on the issue so it could be business as usual by then. Probably a backlog of printing but maybe better news by your time. Wishing you the best.
