I don't mind paying $120 for immunizations and the I693 signed off by the civil surgeon, which I know I need to print and bring with me.

From my research it seems like Twin Cities Medical Clinic http://www.twincitiesmedicalclinic.com/immigration-i693.htmlis my best bet right now for a reasonable priced civil surgeon.

I like what it says on their website:Some applicants have already completed their USCIS medical exam and only require a Vaccine Update. At TCMC, Vaccine Updates cost $120, and include documenting valid proof of current immunizations on the I-693 Form, and a signature from the Civil Surgeon.

My proof of Immunizations would be the form Knightbridge doctors came me right? and the nurse did give me a letter to give to the doctor that she signed and stamped.

Vicks, what was missing from your shots from your medical?

The $120 is only for filling out the form. You still have to pay for the shots somewhere or see if you can get them on your insurance.

That is very expensive, but if you don't mind the price then use them. A reasonable fee would be $35-50. At least they know you don't have to have the medical again.

We are currently waiting on our NOA2. I have a second Hep 'A' shot to get, which I cant get until September (6 months after first). Should I wait until after I have gotten this second shot, before booking my medical? Or would they sign off when I go to file for my adjustment of status as long as I have a documentation of the second shot from my GP.

For immigration purposes--

If you are older than two years old, you do not need Hep A.

if you are older than 18 years old, you do not need Hep B.

For a list and discussion of the adult shots, see the first post in this thread. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

On the immunization front, it might be worth checking with your doctor for your long-term vaccination records. I recently requested mine from my doctor and turns out that while at school I'd actually had my MMR and DTP and completely forgot about it.

Poor Kas missed his flight (he was 45 minutes to takeoff at Heathrow and Iceland Air wouldn't let him check in because they were already in the process of boarding the flight). So now he is stuck at Heathrow for who knows how long waiting for a booking agent to redirect his flights. Mess. I feel so horrible for him! :(

Oh Chris, I'm so sorry. Not the kind of stress anyone needs after all this :(

Once he has his new flight confirmed, if there is a considerable wait, encourage him to go book into an airport lounge. He will get three hours there where he can relax, charge his phone/iPad, get food and drinks and just get away from the bustle of everything. He should be able to get a walk-in easily for £20-£25 for three hours. Then if he wants to call you to talk he has a quiet place to do so.

Does he have travel insurance?

Oh dear! Hope Kas isn't delayed too long. Just when you think it's all good, something else can happen. Bummer.

So, he's been at Heathrow all day long (since 1230), received a flight to Iceland at the additional cost of $700 (bloody plane ticket is now the cost of a return!)... had to book him a hotel to stay at in KEF, and will catch a flight from there to Seattle at 5PM tomorrow. Should be here by 830 or so tomorrow evening. Poor guy is going to hate airports by the end of this journey!

Ah, so sorry Chris. So is he flying out of the UK tonight and then has a layover at KEF? I bet he never expected to add Iceland to the list of places he's stayed at!

Ouch for you and Kas, Chris. That's harsh to have to deal with that after almost getting to the finishing line

Hope Kas isn't too exhausted from the journey, though on the bright side, at least it's only a matter of hours before you will be in each others arms again. :)
