I agree-but it's also the internet, who knows how accurate that review really was. Considering you can cure it, I can't imagine that's the only reason they were denied a visa. But, then again, what do I know?

Yes, I think there is more going on there. The usual procedure for those cases is for the panel physician to start treating the applicant or refer them for treatment and hopefully clear them before the interview. If it's going to take longer the applicant will go to the interview and get denied until they can submit evidence for the removal of the Class A condition. The outcome of the medical shouldn't be a surprize package at the interview.

One thing I do know is the Chinese lady at window 1 was having a bad day

That is hilarious, My Fiancee said he had the Chinese lady and couldn't understand a word she was saying and had to have her repeat the word "passport" 3 or 4 times.

Approved!!!

Approved!!!

He said everyone there was apologetic for the mishap last Thursday. They looked at his name and said "You get to go to the front of the line" so looks like they were all told to look out for him (kinda cool). Interview went great. They only asked one question "How did you meet" and stamped it approved. He asked how long with this take seeings how we were supposed to have it last week and was hoping to be there Saturday and she said it will go in the expedite pile and he watches her put it in a expedite red box :-) Not sure if that means it will be there that quickly but still the feeling is amazing!!!

Congratulations to you all!! I am so happy for you.

Congrats to the people recently approved!! I have something I am confused about.. when my fiance and I get married we would like to get a bank account for me and when he called them they said I need a SSN which isnt difficult to get. But I find the Social security website confusing as it says if you don't have work authorisation you can't get a SSN. Also it says for things like medical insurance, education and banking you don't usually need a SSN.. I wonder if our local bank is just fussy or something? Has anyone else had this experience and what did you do?

You can get one, as per the guide here http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

It will have a message on it stating that it valid for work only with authorization. Once you have your green card you go back to the ssa and have that message removed from the card.

Each bank is different, if they are giving you trouble, wait until you have the number. No one technically needs your number, nor should you be forced to give it. But it seems a given thing these days.

Also it says for things like medical insurance, education and banking you don't usually need a SSN.. I wonder if our local bank is just fussy or something? Has anyone else had this experience and what did you do?

Banks are required to report things to the IRS using your SSN...things like if your account earned any interest because it is taxable. Being secondary on your husband's account, it shouldn't really matter because it will be reported on his SSN. And there are also requirements they have to follow if foreign person's have accounts like backup withholding instead of paying you the full earnings an investment made. It's kind of ridiculous when interest rates are so low and you are probably not a big money investor. But they have certain things they have to comply with so can make up their own policy that you must have a SSN if you want an account at that bank. Being a small town and all, it seems like going in person and saying he wants to add his wife even though her SSN has not been received yet, they might be flexible. Our small town credit union added my husband and said call us when your number comes in.

If you read the link on VJ that Yuna provided, then you know a K1 visa holder is authorized to work according to the Social Security Administration. (But until you have documentation from USCIS in the form of EAD or greencard, you can't actually work). It still allows you to get a SSN immediately after arrival. It's an example of two government agencies with different rules kinda trying to mesh it to fit each other.

HIS birth certificate.

The MRV is a receipt, not the fee.

The only thing has has to get nervous about is finding what is really needed amongst that pile of extra stuff.

Yeah, it is his birth certificate! Sorry if that Skype copy + paste job didn't translate properly. And yes, he meant confirmation page not the fee itself.

I agree that it is loads of stuff-even though it's organized, to be on the spot like that might cause for some annoyed CO.
