What time does the email from the courier normally arrive? I remember hearing around midday a little while ago.

Hoping to get the email today, then pick up and fly tomorrow.

Mine was at 3pm.

I'm curious, seen a few comments, do people from the Philippines get faster approval rates?

HOLY COW GUYS.

I just called the NVC to check that they had everything they needed from me to schedule an interview, and the guy just casually drops into the conversation that I HAVE AN INTERVIEW ON APRIL 14TH!

I only had my medical last Tuesday!

I can't believe this! That means If I'm approved, I'll potentially have Visa in hand almost exactly 3 months from submitting the I-129F!

I'm going to go lie down now.

That is correct. Regardless of if they are placed at TSC or CSC, their cases are expedited. As fast as CSC goes, they probably wouldn't even notice. At TSC they might be waiting a couple of months max, but certainly nothing like the hell of a wait we endure there.

Next week is our interview! The excitement is killing me even though from what I've read it's a non-event. Kas and I did a trial run of 'test' questions that were made on this site and he nailed them all to satisfaction. I hope that calmed his nerves a little bit, but I suppose we'll both be biting our fingernails the night before the interview. I told him I would stay awake until after he has come out of the embassy. Thankfully, that will only be about (I hope) 230A at the latest.

So soon now! Just curious where this list of questions is that they may ask, just wanted to take a quick look at it. :)

Our interview is in two weeks!!!! So happy we are going to make the May 2 wedding we have been planning :) I emailed the embassy and we luckily heard back today but they said they mailed his packed March 17 but he hasn't gotten anything. We are hoping they can email us a copy in case it got lost in the mail.

Let the interview prep begin! So so so excited!

SOOOOO happy for you!! And even more happy for you that you get to keep your May 2nd wedding! Best of luck for the interview! :D

How long did you wait for a medical appointment from when you called?

Also, I had no idea that NVC assigned or had interview dates for K1 visas. Is this usually the case?

Shana, the answer is yes. It was originally due to Typhoon Yolanda. It was a pretty major typhoon with a lot of fatalities. It was to assist with immigration relief.

I have not seen any other reasons posted so I am guessing that is it still in effect from this notification.

I scheduled my medical the same day my status changed to 'Ready' on the CEAC website (right after completing my DS-160 and Notification Of Readiness). I asked for it to be 2 weeks ahead, and had no trouble booking it for that date.

As far as I'm aware it's the consulate that assign the interview, but once it's been scheduled the NVC have access to that information. So head's up to anyone waiting to find out their interview date - it's definitely worth calling up!

Huh, interesting. I wonder how long they will keep the special situation open for?

Nobody knows, but it was never intended to benefit I129F applicants. It was for spouses and family members. In addition, anyone with links to the Philippines got expedited, even if they were living in another country at the time of filing. There is no doubt whatsoever that this increased the already lengthy wait times at TSC. How USCIS works is a mystery to all.

Ugh, that's a bit extreme to fast track people with a mere connection. Surely you should have to prove your situation having being affected by the natural disaster to get expedited? You're right, it's a complete mystery =/. Get a grip, USCIS!
