Ok I had read that the embassy hands to courier on day of issue, but the courier says they don't have it (we don't have a number for them to text, I emailed). Just curious how long it took from issued to delivery for those on here?

I think it was 2 days? You'll receive an e-mail from the depot.

Issued on 10th, arrived at courier on 12th, was going to be delivered on 13th. Had to change it due to work.

Thanks Shana. It's getting down to the wire and stress that's making me crazy! I am thinking the courier will get it tomorrow, delivered Monday.

No, but the wedding is April 11th. We have to apply for the license by the 6th. I know that doesn't seem to be close, but I don't want any complications. We are booking his flight the day he gets his passport, for the next possible flight.

I have been here almost 3 days now in Minnesota and it is freezing, but I am so happy that my fiance and I have closed the distance!Today he finished worked at 9pm, I text him completely forgetting I can now call him on my new mobile he got me, silly me lol I am so used to skype chats and whatsapp it didn't cross my mind.

has anyone else had that happen to them when you first arrived in America or anything else similar?

I am trying to teach myself to say the America words or pronunciation, my Fiance teased me yesterday that I said to him at the restaurant "I am all full up" he said it is just "I am full"

I enjoy making fun of how he talks as well though.

Out of interest, for those lucky few who've had their passport and visa back. How long did it take between your status changing and the courier texting/emailing to tell you they had it? Its not so much that I mind not having it back yet (although that is killing me), but its that I have no idea whats happening with it. It's been in 'Issued' for a few days now and the Embassy aren't telling me anything other than 'it's in final processing'.

Its not so much that I mind not having it back yet (although that is killing me), but its that I have no idea whats happening with it. It's been in 'Issued' for a few days now and the Embassy aren't telling me anything other than 'it's in final processing'.

I finally got around to making an account and this is as good a place as any to start.

Gary, mine was issued on the 20th of March and then became available to pick up from the DXS Depot on the 25th. I believe the email got sent on the day i could pick it up, but in my case it got sent to my lawyer, who then forwarded it on to me. (I had to send a semi-friendly reminder to get her to check for it). So i'm not exactly sure if the email from the embassy did genuinely come on the same day as I could pick up.

I will get round to making my timeline later but the latter K-1 stage looks like this:

17th - Interview

19th - AP

19th - Case Creation Update

20th - Issued

[Then a weekend and a bit of anxiety]

25th - Email and pick up. [Relief - finally!]
