I have a random question and am not sure what to do. On the CEAC site, it turns out when I check 'immigrant' visa using out LND number, it shows as READY with similar dates to what we are going through right now. I think I was supposed to be checking NON-immigrant this entire time but when I enter in our number and select non-immigrant, it says invalid case number.

I am so confused! I feel like all of the information is in line with our timeline of when they received our documents. Does anyone know why this could be happening? I am so concerned now!!

Yep, your visa is non-immigrant, but since the Immigrant Visa Unit processes K1s you will always choose immigrant when given a choice. That includes when you go to the site to pay your visa fee or use the contact form to email the embassy.

No, unfortunately, I will not be flying back with him on his port of entry. He's coming over 2 weeks after I leave London.

His going away party is the weekend before he gets here, and I think it's important for him to have that alone. Thinking of it as a stag do of sorts.

I can understand that, I'm sticking around to have a few leaving parties and for my birthday. It probably would have been a bit sad to be in America for my birthday when I don't really have many friends there to make it feel like a celebration! I'm not one of those people who needs a huge birthday party but it's nice I get to spend it with my closest friends before I leave. Do you think you'll have a stag do as well?

Gary's interview is this Thursday (19th), and after a 5 week wait from his letter, and I can't believe its this close. It has been 8 months since filing but he is almost here. Hopefully his visa and BBE get back to him as soon as, next week is what we are hoping for. Wedding got pushed back a 4th time, to April 11th but I swear I will marry this man! Haha

So close! Good luck to him tomorrow, I'm sure he'll do great. My visa and envelope should have got to me on Friday 13th (interview was 5th) but I was working so no one was going to be home to collect it. Haha, that's the spirit, girl!

Passport came this morning, so ive booked the hotel and train, ill be paying the MRV and courier fees on the 27th. Does anyone have a current price? i heard it was £185 + £19.

but i also know the MRV is in USD, is this ok to pay with my visa debit card?

I paid £180.20 for MRV and £18 for courier about 5 days ago. I paid with a us debit card for MRV but they charged it in GBP and then I had to use a credit card for the courier fee. Not sure why, but it declined my debit card like 5 times (I know I had the £18 on it ).

Hmm good question. I don't recall.

my thinking is if it processes it in USD there may be a fee from the bank to do the transaction, if it was gbp then it wont

also does anyone know the acceptable clothing for the embassy visit?

Congrats!! that's great! Yeah we have been apart a similar amount of time as you, 9 months and I am moving to be with my fiance in just 4 more short days now !!! I am so excited!!
