Yup, we get ROC to enjoy...

Start collecting your evidence of joint lives now, I have a file that I put bills, bank statements, joint insurance, purchases etc ready for sending to USCIS to prove we really are married and sharing our lives :)

Haha another money making scheme!

I'm on the lease for the flat, been added to the bank account and some other fun stuff so should be all good there. Just need to remember to save some of it.

Hi guys,

I recently submitted for AOS - including the EAD and AP application. I have received the NOA and my Bio app already. I was just wondering, it says around 90 days to get EAD/AP approval, however what id like to know is how long it takes to physically receive the card once your approved. Im hoping to travel back to London at the beginning of Feb just for a family celebration.

if anyone has any experience in this i would appreciate it.

many thanks

It varies, mine (July this year) took a few days from when the status first showed approved to arriving in my mailbox, there have been periods since where it seems to take a couple of weeks and a few instances where it has been even longer.

You can track your status online, hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones whose cases are recognized and updated :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Mine took around two weeks, I got my EAD dead on the three month date and luckily got AOS the day after. Both Green Card and EAD card arrived in the same mail.

Hopefully yours will be quick ?

Alex got his birth certificate in the mail today and sent it off to the embassy~

they're closed tomorrow ; ; but hopefully they get it Friday and turn it around by Monday. That's my hope, at least.

Hopefully the embassy reviews birth certificates quicker than the NVC. My wife mailed hers today as well and it will arrive tomorrow (NVC closed) so they should get it Friday. They've said it will take them up to 6 weeks to look over that single page document. That'll be 6 weeks where they'll have to deal with me calling them every day.

Yeah NVC is definitely on the sh*t list. it hurts me to see how many people are stuck there. i'm glad i don't have to deal with them anymore, i would have torn out my hair.

For a CR-1 they wouldn't let the embassy review my wife's long form BC, it had to go to them first. I begged and begged and spoke to two supervisors. They have her short form but they need to sit on the long form for another 6 weeks first. No way around it :(

Hey Allison, have you gotten an update??? I just checked CEAC and it still says Ready... but it says the last update was Nov 23.

Which is super weird, because Nov 23 Alex took his BC to the depot to ship, but since they were closed today (24) we weren't expecting any touch or update.

Weird that it says ready and not AP. just wondering if yours has changed either.
