Just waiting for interview date now.

Thank you! I just called NVC about the interview appointment and she said it will take a few days to find out. More waiting...but the end is in sight!

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Congrats JFH. Glad to hear the supervisor review went quickly!

NVC received all of our files on the 28th of September, so we'll be four weeks next week. Nothing yet. I'm going for Christmas and coming back December 28th. Was hoping she could come home with me but I don't think so anymore.

Fingers crossed for you. If the NVC gets back to a 30-day processing time you could be in with a chance of a December 28 move.

Went today to get my vaccinations signed off by a US surgeon and I got told they needed to be done again. $158 in total for those and the paperwork.

Not amused!!!

Apparently the guy doing it said they could've been forged and such, total bullhocks.

Unfortunately it got questioned and it was either that or not get what I needed filled out.

Interesting! You got them done by your GP? Or elsewhere? I want to know because my fiance hasn't done his yet, if this is gonna happen, i might have him wait.

Yep I got them done at the GP took the print out too with them signed off, was expecting just to get them okayed and the paperwork completed.

Hmmm... that is really annoying. I mean, when I called my local civil surgeon they said as long as he has the paperwork they'll sign off with a physical exam done. Maybe you just got the one bad civ surgeon in your area.

Personally, I would seek out a new CS even if it required extra travel time (even if it were just a consulting opinion). There is no need to receive vaccinations you have just received. It's not medically needed.
