Hi all, not been on for a while but after arriving on the 5th March we got married on Saturday. Had a fair few twists and turns on the way, the good lady was in hospital for 10 days and finally got out Friday just before our day thankfully it all went well :)

Hope everyone is doing well, soon be time to start the AOS fun!

We were actually recently injured in an auto accident and have come into some funds for our troubles, so we do have money to pay for this (I guess being smashed by a negligent driver was a blessing in disguise?): the questions we have though are:

The letter states in full something a little confusing to me:

''An immunization supplement was not submitted with your application. Submit a complete form I-693 immunization supplement. This is ONLY the last page of the I-693 report of medical examination and vaccination record, completed by a USCIS civil surgeon.''

Now, two things, his original Knightsbridge medical was completed in June 2015. We sent the DS3025, and we even made a note of that in our coverletter.

This RFE though, is ONLY asking for the vaccination supplement, and is implying that we never sent the DS3025 in the first place, or that I suppose the NBC lost this document when they sent it over to the NH office. BUT, since they are asking for the vaccination supplement ONLY, that must mean that they have looked over his original medical document, of which the original Knightsbridge documentation should have been present yes?

Or is this RFE merely due in part to their oversight entirely regarding the tick box?

The last questions, and maybe the most important one: Do we just go with having the civil surgeon recertify transcribe the vaccination sheet only as the RFE requests, or do we redo the entire medical along with the transcription? I ask this because obviously we are very much close to a full year since the original medical was completed... and I am paranoid the USCIS would be rude enough to hit us with a second RFE for that. Or does the fact the officer has picked up our case file before the medical has expired absolve us for the need of redoing that?

Can we go to any civil surgeon or must it be in the same state as we reside? There are several choices in the neighboring state of DE we could go to, and would absolutely cut down on our travel time. 20 minutes vs 2+hrs is a lot you know...

Well that sucks Yuna. Gotta love the total inconsistency within USCIS. I hope they approve the GC when you send in the new medical. You deserve a break from USCIS.

Daniel's medical doesn't expire until mid-July. And I've already calendared a reminder to renew his EAD and AP. I'm pretty confident in my gut that we will have to go for an interview. And the Houston office is horribly backed up. From December through March, they only advanced their processing time by 5 weeks. My TSC rage is bubbling up again... someone help me.

Thing is... how do any of us know what office our case is sitting at specifically, it's not like they've felt so kind as to tell us? All this time I counted on our case sitting in Baltimore... but yet it's mysteriously not. At first I thought it was because perhaps that office is so clogged and nervous about ongoing unrest in the city that they sent them elsewhere... but the fact that other cases in different states have also been sent elsewhere makes little sense to me. I hope so too...we're both weary of it. And I will hope your case gets some attention soon.

Hey, just a heads up on the new system. We are sent an appointment letter, that is needed for security, after we select our own dates.

That's weird, because I checked with the Embassy...

Maybe DCF CR1 is different to K1?

I mailed the Embassy this question:

Hello, I am preparing my documents for my CR1 interview. Your instructions say to bring my appointment letter with me to the Embassy. However, as I have booked my interview through the new system (
) I don't have a letter.

Please can you tell me if printing the instructions from the website above are sufficient or if I should have received a confirmation letter or email?

And got this answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. We note that the appointment for your visa interview is scheduled for XXX. Please attend your interview as scheduled. You are not required to present an appointment letter as your name will be on the access list for the date in questions. However, you may wish to print the confirmation page on the appointment booking website to show security personnel if requested.

Yea, I figured the confirmation would serve the purpose.

But, CEAC updated, and a letter dropped 2 days later. Which reads the same as the old packet 4 letter.

Maybe the email you got was during the transition phase? Or maybe they don't mind either way. Or maybe K and C are different.

Either way, I'm sure turning up without it wouldn't be an issue, even if questioned, could just say as it was online, no letter, but here's a print out.

Well I'm here in Virginia, trying to settle into normal life. POE was okay, very long just happened my flight got in late to DC when three others arrived so ended up queuing for a good hour and a half. I'll pop a review up soon!

Hope everyone is well and journey is going smoothly. I'm finding it hard to believe that I'm here, actually here.

Making final preparations for interview tomorrow; mainly checking I've not forgotten something obvious...

Confirmation Letter

DS-160 + copy

I-134 + USC Evidence (Tax Transcript, Bank Account Statements, Employment letter, Stocks info) + copy

Birth Certificate + copy

Deed Poll + copy

Passport + old passport

Courier Receipt

Police Certificate + copy

UKC Evidence of funds + copy

A few bits of relationship evidence, pictures, updated letter on intent.

I-129f Copy, NOA1 and NOA2, doubt this'll be needed.

Also have vaccination records and medical receipt, but doubt it's needed.

I'm not missing anything glaringly obvious am I? Needless to say I've gone from the doc check list in the guide, and from the embassy site.

Tricked,

Do you have your US Passport photo? It is not written in your list but I believe the recent update is that you need 1 US Passport style photo for the interview.

You won't need the copies of your I-129f or your NOA1/NOA2, they have all that already, but if it makes you feel better prepared and you don't mind taking it with you then go for it.

I'm in the US and in particular in New Hampshire. I arrived on Thursday into Boston Logan airport on a K1. Friday was our admin day, Saturday was our wedding day, and Sunday/Monday were our relaxing days (Monday was a public holiday.

My bank debit and credit cards from HSBC USA had already arrived at our house in the US before I had even stepped foot in the country. They were even so really kind enough to send me a free bank verification letter than I can use as a proof of address elsewhere.

We went down to the City Clerk office the day after arrival to get the marriage license and I returned and picked up the certified marriage certificates the next working day after our marriage (which was such a beautiful day and ceremony).

I also applied for my SSN the day after arriving for the US, less than 24 hours after arriving into the US. They didn't seem to have any problems and said they'd send me the card within a week-unclear if anything SAVE database was problematic or not I am back in the SSA office today to see if they have gotten my SSN yet and whether I can change to my married surname on the card if they have.
