When I was there, there was a small child screaming for 20 minutes straight because he was getting all his vaccinations . The medical is absolutely fine, nothing to worry about, just don't say you've done drugs in your life!

Yay! – received an email to say that my passport and package is ready to be collected from the depot tomorrow! Visa was issued on Monday so only 2 days between that and the notification.

Flight already booked for next Wednesday morning to JFK

It was all fine. Just my gp fibbed and said my injections were up to date. I had done tetenus but my mmr hsd to be done there. Its all done now though.

Excellent!! Miyazaki is hands down one of my favourite directors. The Ghibli museum in Tokyo is one of my favourite places, if you're ever in Tokyo you'd love it, especially the gift shop!

5. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Also I will mention that the very first movie my fiance and I watched together when we first met in person was actually The Wind Rises! I wasn't as big of a fan of it in comparison to other Miyazaki films (and I think he actually fell asleep during it... but let's blame the jetlag ;p) It's still special to me because of that, though!

It's always difficult picking just five! I think the only Ghibli film I walked away not impressed with was Tales from Earthsea, apart from that they're all magic in their own way! That's so sweet that you remember your first film! I think for us it was probably one of the Harry Potter films...it was about 9 years ago though so I could be wrong.

I agree with you, The Wind Rises was a very personal Miyazaki project that wasn't for anyone else, I definitely got that impression when watching it since his father was an aeronautical engineer. The first Ghibli film I watched was Spirited Away, the husband raved about it so one night I stayed up until 2am watching it on some random channel on Sky TV so I could talk to him about it! Gah, I could talk about Ghibli all day!

My parents had this thing that whenever they would go out and leave me and my sister with a baby sitter they would bring us to the library and let us each check out a DVD that we would watch that night (to both the sitter's advantage and ours I suppose ;p) And I picked Spirited Away off the shelf. My sister said it looked stupid but we both ended up loving it and went on to watch a bunch of Ghibli films together over the years.

I realize how young I am now thinking about this. I was only 7 when Spirited Away first was released in the U.S. Scary!

I'm glad you both enjoyed it and continued to enjoy Ghibli films! I don't have much in common with my siblings, unfortunately. I was 12 when Spirited Away came out, where did the time go?! I must have seen it a couple of years after it was released though since it was on TV. I watched it so early in the AM because I knew my family wouldn't understand why I was watching "a cartoon" as a teenager!

It's my favourite film!

I have Totoro on dvd and all of the ghibli movies up until the most recent. We just watched this really tearful one about a young girl who made friends with this girl. I won't spoil it.

Just been printing copies of all my documents for the interview. I know I still have 4 weeks but I like to be organized with this type of thing. Besides knowing my luck my grandad will break the printer and then I will have to get it all done at the internet cafe like I did last time, lol.

My German one has been translated also.

I applied for it in 2005 because I needed it to become a foster parent. So I used the same one. I think it took a month. I am bilingual from birth but I decided to get someone else to translate it just to be on the safe side.

I'm just relieved I don't need one for Iceland (was at university there for 6 months), China (was working there just shy of a year) and India (6 months spent working there).

So here we go. Knew this was coming. Our medical is not out of date (June 15th 2015), and we sent in the DS-3025 (Knightsbridge didn't check the tickbox despite argument - but everything was completed and up to date). We hadn't any movement on our case (still stuck on biometrics) and low and behold we get that lovely RFE from the national benefits office (not Baltimore):

''An immunization supplement was not submitted with your application. Submit a complete Form I-693 immunization supplement.''

So. What shall we do then? I'd like to get this over and done with and as cheaply as possible. I've seen VJ mention a Polly Steinberg, but she is all the way down the Bethesda, and we live on the Eastern Shore.... uhh yeah far lol.

So does he just need the vaccination transcript I-693? Or do we have to shell out for a full medical too?

Also.... can the USCIS not even read their own policies on this issue?
