Waiting for CEAC to update post Medical

I keep telling myself, I made it through USCIS, so I can make it through this... But now being able to check for people 'touching' my case, is not helping...

I've been told it takes about 2 weeks for them to issue an interview. I'd expect you to know by the first week of May?

Yea, from recent time scales it seems to be taking 13 or so days to get the letter from the day of the medical. Fingers crossed.

All this waiting around for July has me feeling like I am forgetting something. Interesting to go from what felt like consistent paperwork to sitting around waiting for his POE.

On that subject, I was wondering if anyone who has already left recently could let me know if there is anything I should keep in mind. I am aware there is a thread specifically for such things, but since many of the posts are outdated, I wanted to hear from more recent experiences.

In the way of taxes, my fiance has never worked a day in his life in the United Kingdom. From what I understand, because of that fact he should have little to no paperwork to worry about before he leaves. Is this correct?

Generally two things a UKC should do is notify the HMRC to tell them they are leaving the country and notify the SLC. For the HMRC, they would typically receive a nice sum in their UK bank account, if they had worked any period of time. However it won't apply in your case. If any student loans apply, dealing with the SLC will be a pain in the rear, but they too have to be notified. One thing my husband has done recently is electronically file a notice that he would like to vote in the upcoming referendum from abroad. His council just replied that he's all set up for that. You have the option to be sent a paper or electronic ballot.

Otherwise not much else; get their SSN, get married, get health insurance, file AOS, but most importantly enjoy life together. All the cool stuff like that.

If the fiancé wants a US license, and already have a UK license, wait for the EAD.

How quickly did you receive your packet 4 after you got the medical stuff sorted?

I had to wait an extra 2 weeks after my medical as Knightsbridge wanted more information I rang NVC a week after they sent it to the embassy and got my interview date over the phone I got my letter a week after that.
