Hi! I've been looking for a uk forum :) even if it's just to hear someone agree with me on how hard the waiting is!! Myself and my fiancé filed at the beginning of the month which I know isn't long ago, but I still check on our status daily just incase! Anyone else do this?

Did anyone else file around the same time? I'd love to compare times and dates of the whole process with someone :D

My advice: don't drive yourself nuts checking every day because it's going to be months before you hear anything meaningful (well, except the first notification that whichever one of you is the petitioner will get when USCIS receive it).

It's very tempting to do so, but I would leave it at least a few months before starting to check and call etc.

Yeah, I'm really glad I didn't even know about the fracker until after I'd had my medical. Once I knew about it I was checking it multiple times a day, but before that I had to just turn my mind to other things.

I was terrible - I've been checking it every day, multiple times a day. I still do even though it turned to 'Issued' last week. A terrible habit and temptation which is one that I suggest avoiding at all costs so you can relax get on with your life!

As an aside: there are apps for the iPhone (and presumably other phones) that will check the MyUSCIS website for you so that you don't have to check it yourself. With the app, your phone will give you an alert whenever somethings happens. However, the issue is a bit moot given that you can set the USCIS website to email you and text you (to a US cell number) with updates. As of yet, I'm not aware of an app for the iPhone that will check CEAC for updates though so that was a process of manually checking with autocomplete.

Simon.

Don't think there is a CEAC app as yet.

The USCIS one is actually quicker than the email/text notifications as well.

And I too am terrible, I'm waiting on NVC number, but I still keep going to the USCIS one out of habit, which obviously hasn't changed.

I think you will get through quickly. I've been watching the time frames a lot lately and for K-1 in London I am seeing anything from 79 days to 140 days from start to finish.

We are doing a CR-1 which is a different visa and takes a year, give or take. There's not much chance of that going any quicker because it goes through more stages.

It will happen when it's meant to happen. It's all in the hands of fate.

Fiance's mom let us know the RFE came on monday. She read it to us. They wanted to check the website we met on is not an international marriage broker. I am saving all the TOS and the website description and we'll print it all off for him so he can send it out when he gets home. I'm not concerned about this RFE, I feel it's simple and that it won't be an issue. I must admit I had thought it was anything but this. As you say, that sounds simple enough to provide the evidence :) Hopefully, it'll be a quick turnaround once you've submitted your response. Enjoy the rest of your time together! :)
