Interesting - is there any way of avoiding this? I've looked at my previous I-94s and my middle name is always included with First (Given) name. That isn't likely to change. To preempt it on the SSN application form though, could I just just write both my forename and middle name in the 'First name' section too? Or just prompt the person at the Social Security office about the issue?

I really don't know the answer. Is it just British passports that scan that way? Everybody? Only some? Every Social Security office seems to have different levels of knowledge and training because the experiences people report are all over the place. Some are told not eligible, or you are a K3 now, etc. You could try the double first name thing, but if your passport didn't match, would they allow it? Is it just a few places that can't figure out John Paul and JohnPaul are the same person. Be sure and ask questions and go to a supervisor if you aren't signed up immediately without the manual verification. But know you might get a totally different response at a different office based on what people report.

Any one had issues with registering interview date when paying fees - the option isn't there for me and as soon as I input my personal details it takes me straight to payment page -_-

Yeah I was. Followed step by step as per the guide on here but takes me to payment day after selecting courier. Odd.

Couldn't find a number to call and ask, tried emailing they said wrong email address gave me a link back to the page I was on.

That helped, payment is first and then enter appointment details. Phew. I'll sort that out over the weekend and get the payment made.

Approved! :D I've officially handed in my notice; now I have a weekend in London to celebrate before I head home and start getting ready to leave!

Yayyyyyyy Congrats!!!

Im so excited to hand my notice in when the time comes round! Was it almost as good a feeling as getting the visa? Lol enjoy your weekend!!!!!
