Fedex and UPS both have an international service that you can overnight it. It's so expensive but if we have to have it sent that way from here we will. USPS have an overnight service for $20 we used that for our petition so if my fiance is doing it there he will use that. It depends when the letter comes as he might have to do it here if it comes on weds. He has work that day and then he is flying here early Thursday. Snappy Snaps does ones with a grantee so we'll have it done there, thats where I get most of mine done. But even I measured the US passport photos I did in tesco and mine were perfect 25mm from chin to top of the head so I don't think it was mine unless I cut it wrong. I'm glad they issued it now so we should hopefully get the letter before he comes here and we can sort it out asap, intead of having to worry about it coming while he's here. It's only a short trip so if it ends up the RFE coming late, it'll only delay us by 9 days as his mom will check the mail box and tell us what we need to get, we will get it and have it sorted before he leaves and he can mail it when he gets home.

So I just need to be positive, at least I don't have to wait another 56 days to hear back after we send the RFE evidence because most of the RFE I have seen take 20-30 days to get an approval I doubt it's anything big.

If your photos end up being the problem, have them redone and if you want instead of shipping the photos to your finace, if he has or knows someone with a decent printer that prints good photos, just have them buy some photo paper from staples. Definitely scan the new passport photos and send them to him so he can print them. It's what my fiance and I did during the initial I-129F application and it avoided the shipping fee and was instantaneous. That's one work around that can be useful, but if you'd rather not risk it, up to you in the end.

But hang in there! It's going to be okay, at least you know that with an RFE approval should follow soon after once you send back your reply

I don't think mine will be, it'll be his. I measured mine and they look the right dimensions but we'll see. We'll know what it is hopefully before he comes here and if it does happen to be something I need to give him, we can just do it while he's here. Hopefully it'll be something simple we've missed and not anything major.

My K1 visa was approved today at the US embassy in London, obviously pending successful AP. I was expecting to say an oath or to be given a leaflet of some kind but didn't- just got the birth certificate, police form and I134 back whilst they kept my passport and was told "you're approved" and that was it. Hopefully that sounds about right!

There was a nice little group of K1 and marriage visa applicants in today a few of us had a nice chat and it was lovely

What did you get asked?

I was asked about my fiancé and myself:

- When and How did we first meet? (I asked whether the question meant in person or online, and he said both)

- How long we had been engaged

- A few yes/no questions to confirm my job, my partner's job and where we would live (this just required a yes/no response)

I'll put this together into a review. But before that, some extra tidbits: I arrived at midday for a 1pm appointment, and the embassy staff separated those applying for immigrant visas out from the non-immigrant applicants at about 1225. I was inside by 1235 and then handed over my documents at the desk at 1240. I was the second immigrant visa to be called up by the machine that afternoon for the main interview and that was at about 140pm. The first person was called up at 135pm if that helps with timing.
