I managed to get an appointment to see my doctor today about the information Knightsbridge want, the doctor was lovely and said she will try get it done today or Monday (she is a part timer) but I have to give her 2 weeks from today just to get it sent as she has quite a lot to get through in my medical files, but she told me she will ring me once she has sent it to Knightsbridge.

I'm glad she can pretty much get it done now rather than waiting till the 21st then having to wait another 2 weeks on top of that, it might be at the Embassy by then! Fingers crossed we will then be on the way to finding out an interview date.

Oh no! Don't they tell you what it is in the email? How annoying! Hopefully it's easy to rectify like a missing signature.

It's most likely my man's passport photo as they rejected it for his passport and we used the same one. Don't use Riteaide for passport photos they did it completely wrong and I am expecting this to be the reason. They don't tell you in the email and they can't access it at customer service we have to wait for the letter which should come next week. The thing is he is coming here on Thursday so if it doesn't arrive before then his mom is going to check our mail box and tell us what the RFE was for so we can get it sorted. Our deadline is the 9th April and he is here until March 27th, so if it's anything he needs from me (maybe my photo which I did at tesco?) then I will have to overnight it with fedex or UPS with anything he needs. It'll be ok. I've had my sob and we'll make sure it's perfect for next time.

I had my photos done at Tesco too. I am concerned about my husband's photo though. He looks very pale, so pale that you can't see where his chin ends and his neck starts, if you know what I mean. My Tesco ones came out great. I even look younger and a little slimmer!

We had ours done originally at RiteAid, we had no issues with them, but they did refuse to cut them for us. Wal-Mart on the other hand... I'm dubious about. His were passable I think and *hope*... I had wanted to update my passport, but what they gave me were so hideous I walked out. They insisted I needed to remove my glasses (which is *not* state department requirements). They laughed in my face when I whipped out my passport to show that you can wear glasses for a passport, as if I'd shown them a fake one! I can't see without my glasses so the photo ended up like a very blurry squinting me under a harsh flash.

You never know AMZJ: it could be something else... but whatever it is I'm sure it's a simple remedy.

Hope every one is well and having a good week - just think another week along the visa journey - just wanted to say a BIG thank you for everyone keeping me sane.

I am patiently (who I am kidding - I'm not patient) waiting for an interview date to appear - my prediction is early April. Spoke with NVC yesterday and the lady I spoke to was super friendly and said I could contact them to check any time I liked - it always makes me feel better when you get a nice one.

After my emotional tears yesterday I am taking a break from stressing. There is nothing we can do until we get the letter and we at least have heard something now so know after we send what they ask that it won't be too long until we get approved. It has messed with my moving a lot, I probably won't be able to ship my boxes until June now. But it'll be ok... I should still be able to move in July all being well.

Turn around for my letter was 3 days, so you should be okay, though that was being sent from Cal to Cal.

Fedex and UPS both have an international service that you can overnight it. It's so expensive but if we have to have it sent that way from here we will. USPS have an overnight service for $20 we used that for our petition so if my fiance is doing it there he will use that. It depends when the letter comes as he might have to do it here if it comes on weds. He has work that day and then he is flying here early Thursday. Snappy Snaps does ones with a grantee so we'll have it done there, thats where I get most of mine done. But even I measured the US passport photos I did in tesco and mine were perfect 25mm from chin to top of the head so I don't think it was mine unless I cut it wrong. I'm glad they issued it now so we should hopefully get the letter before he comes here and we can sort it out asap, intead of having to worry about it coming while he's here. It's only a short trip so if it ends up the RFE coming late, it'll only delay us by 9 days as his mom will check the mail box and tell us what we need to get, we will get it and have it sorted before he leaves and he can mail it when he gets home.

So I just need to be positive, at least I don't have to wait another 56 days to hear back after we send the RFE evidence because most of the RFE I have seen take 20-30 days to get an approval I doubt it's anything big.

I don't read K1 thread RFE discussions anymore. Have people actually gotten RFEs for those petition passport photos? They don't go on any official document. Kind of a mugshot to staple in your folder. People have sent British size before and didn't get rejected.

On the talk earlier about bad photos from different places. We made our own and printed at home on our inkjet. (It holds photo paper). The Dept of State website has a photo tool that sizes/crops it properly. You can keep taking photos until you get an attractive one you like. .

If you don't have photo paper, you can get it printed at a photo place in Walmart, or a drug store.

They didn't write their names on the back though we did. I am just speculating that because it was denied for his passport that it may be that for the RFE. But in all honesty it could be anything and I won't know until he gets the letter (hopefully before he flies to see me).
