My fiance received his visa and passport in the mail today!

Our wedding date is still months away but knowing he has it and could come here and effectively elope with me before then is a satisfying feeling ;p

That's so exciting, congratulations!! How long until you guys are reunited?

My fiance received his visa and passport in the mail today!

I'm really looking forward to that day (probably a year from now). I had planned to wait until I got the visa and then resign from my job and work my notice period but I think when I get the visa I will just want to jump on the very next plane and let the job sort itself out.

I'm really looking forward to that day (probably a year from now). I had planned to wait until I got the visa and then resign from my job and work my notice period but I think when I get the visa I will just want to jump on the very next plane and let the job sort itself out.

Yeah it's sorta frustrating. The reason he is not coming right away is because he wan't to finish his year at university. He isn't completing a degree this year though, and from the looks of it his credits won't transfer to the school he is looking at attending here, so it seems like a poor decision at this point :P

That is the worst feeling, I'm with you. It gets better though, that's the thing to hold on to.

Just wanted to say it's UKtoArizona's medical today! Good luck I hope it's gone well!!!

I am still waiting I've seen a lot of people who applied weeks after me get approved but I'm trying not to worry just yet (although it's a bit hard).

I know the feeling! I have another 10 or 12 months to wait. The longest year of my life. I keep telling myself "think how quickly Christmas seems to come each year" but I know this year is going to be awful. Keep busy!

Last night here before flying out tomorrow, can't sleep :o

Good luck, I've been here since 21st Feb and have got my SS card, opened a bank account, got a US cell phone, been driving all over the place oh and got married :D

Loving every second and we'll be sending the AOS as soon as the marriage certificate arrives :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Hello!

I survived my trip to London yesterday for my medical, it went better than I thought but the Dr wants some more information about an operation I had when I was 5 years old, to be honest it didn't even cross my mind that she was going to question it further!

I'm going to chase my doctors up first thing Monday as all the Knightsbridge doctor wants to know is why I had the operation etc but I'm sure that'll be all in my medical notes anyway.

I'll do a full write up on the Knightsbridge medical thread when I have chance, everything else went really well and she said I'm fit and healthy so thsts a positive considering how nervous I was!!
