Yes, you can use the miles that you earn on Virgin Atlantic for flights on Virgin America and vice versa. You can also give the miles to someone else but you pay a processing fee to do that.

I convert my Tesco points to Virgin miles also. They used to do a great service into Vancouver which was ideal for me to get to Seattle.

Iceland is beautiful. I spent six months there on a student exchange in my early 20s. Happy memories...

I have a question about virgin airmiles and I wonder if you (or anyone here) might know the answer. Can you use miles you have saved up for both virgin and virgin america? I have started looking into different frequent flyer/miles programs since his mother expects us to be visiting quite often, and something that could be earned/used universally would be really convenient.

I honestly don't know. You can call and ask them though :) I don't see why not. It is expensive to transfer miles, but it's a little bit cheaper than buying them.

Medical tomorrow for my fiance too, DS-160 submitted along with the notification of readiness. All that's left is to wait for the appointment letter and interview date. Finally getting towards the end of 'this' road!

I know nothing visa related but... my husband is as they say 'chuffed to bits', because he passed his MD driving test today and now has his shiny new license. :dancing: He was worried they weren't going to give his UK license back to him, but apparently they let you keep it now.

I know my fiance's mother is worried about him learning to drive over here but after hearing that the road test he had to take was close to an hour long and knowing how small and congested the streets are where he lives I can't imagine it being too much of a problem. I admit I would probably find it challenging to pass the driving test he had to take and I have been driving for years.

That's good to hear about the license! I am sure it's different state by state but hopefully it's the same in WI. I'm sure it's helpful to hold on to that if you plan on visiting across the pond often.

My fiance received his visa and passport in the mail today!

Our wedding date is still months away but knowing he has it and could come here and effectively elope with me before then is a satisfying feeling ;p
