I am not wanting to cause a panic. Just giving everyone a heads up. Today we went for Tim's interview for AOS/Green Card here in Portland Oregon. It was not too bad but there was an issue with his DS-3025 vaccination form. All of the information was there but the box to say the form was completed was not checked. Our immigration officer here in Portland would not accept it. Luckily enough after many phone calls and a very nice US civil surgeon we were able to get a new vaccination form (without having to do a medical) and submitted it to the immigration office all before lunch time. Wow what a crazy day. Now we wait. Side note...we did not get a RFE for this.

Others might not have had any issues but we "got lucky" and our officer want to make sure all of the boxes were checked.

Good luck to all of you still on your K-1 or other visa journeys. I have to say it has been amazing having Tim here all of the time and every day gets better and better.

Too bad he wouldn't approve. The policy manual says the panel physician assessment can be accepted. And while this section is speaking of Civil surgeons, you would think the same concept applies--

The officer should be aware that civil surgeons may improperly mark the boxes because they may misunderstand the meaning of these boxes. Therefore, the officer should determine, from the vaccination assessment completed by the civil surgeon, whether the applicant received all vaccines, which blanket waivers should be granted, and whether the applicant requires any other waivers. The officer should exercise discretion in reviewing the vaccination chart and when evaluating the results boxes at the bottom of the vaccination assessment chart.

If the civil surgeon did not check any result boxes, the officer should only return the form for corrective action if he or she is unable to ascertain whether the applicant is admissible. The officer should never alter or complete sections on the medical examination report that are the responsibility of the civil surgeon, such as the results boxes.

Found on this page https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter9.html

When the Medical forms for panel physicians changed, Knightsbridge quit marking the results because K1 is a non-immigrant visa. They would certainly make it easier on people if they realized K1 is unlike the rest of the non-immigrant visas and they are held to higher standards of immigrant visas in the end. I think they have it wrong....last two questions. I think it is saying leave blank if the shots will be given in the U.S. http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/panel/revised-department-state-medical-examination-forms.html

Kinda the luck of the draw on who reviews your case.

Thanks for the heads-up on that one! As Nich Nick says, looking at the instructions for it all, it suggested that should be sufficient. Luck of the draw, indeed!

Tim just reminded me that the IO said he had the same thing happen yesterday and had to send them to get a corrected form.

Also the doctor that filled out the form said that it was happening all the time. Sending people to get new forms that really did not make sense. They called about it and could never talk to anyone to get an answer so they went down to the USCIS office here and stood out front and stopped an officer to ask. Here they will not let you thru security without a letter.

Hopefully we here something soon and that this issue is just a Portland thing.

Hey all, just noticed the thread and figured I'd drop a hey! Congrats to all who had visas approved recently!! My fiance is from London and I'm in NY. We got engaged last May after I graduated law school which then started our families on whirlwind plans for the wedding which we set up for May 28 (14 weeks left and I can't believe how soon it is!!)

Currently our file is being shipped to the embassy and it looks like we'll get an interview date around beginning of April if I'm predicting correctly--finally getting closer to the finish of this stage!

K1 visa sent 12/16/2015

K1 visa received 12/17/2015

NOA1 dated 12/21/2015

NOA2 dated 2/4/2016

Police Cert. ordered on 2/15/2016

NVC received 2/17/2016

Case number created 2/18/2016

Left NVC on 2/19/2016

Medical Scheduled 3/2/2016 (but may end up moving this back a few days)

Anxiously waited yesterday for London to receive my case from NVC with a leaving date of Friday 12th, still not 'ready' rearranged medical but they seem pretty busy (along with a rude receptionist) for the following week. Praying next week is a better one! Congrats to those who got approvals this week and to those jetting off this weekend, super excited for you all ?

Yay :D

How was your last day at work?

It was a little strange, hasn't really sunk in yet just felt like I've finished for the week!

They got me some nice stuff from my football team and wrote a book with various comments in it, which was the nicest thing :)
