Doesn't $26k meet the requirement?

Also wondering why you think there would be a problem with AOS?

4 person family (us and 2 kids) so $26,000 is a little bit under. He does actually earn $34,000 over a year now though (that doesn't include all the bonuses he gets) so it should be fine. I'm not thinking about looking at the paperwork for AOS yet as I just want to get though this bit first. I just thought they would want the W2 instead of a letter from work.

So it turns out my fiance's entire family (Mom, brothers, grandma, aunt and uncle) bought there tickets for the wedding already.

Hopefully there are no issues now.. We told them to wait until the actual approval but I guess they were just too eager.

I'm sure you will get approved. They were probably so excited for you they wanted to get the tickets. It's nice that they are all coming. We had 5 people at our wedding - us 2, the officiant and 2 witnesses. I would have liked for my family to be there but we only gave them 24 hours notice!!!

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Now a US citizen!

Oh. Didn't know there were four.

For the I-864 affidavit of support you will include the 2015 tax return, even if it says you made zero. That is a requirement written in the law. (Note--A W2 alone is nothing. Must be the full tax return plus the W2. Or you can use an IRS transcript alone with no W2) If you don't get that right, you get an RFE.

Then if you currently make more than shown on your last tax return, you include the optional documentation that proves your current income. Optional documentation could be an employer letter and/or six months of payslips. They will go by your current income if you prove it, despite a tax return that doesn't qualify.

And if you still don't have enough, you can include assets on the form and send proof of those. If you have a good income, you can leave the asset part blank.

Thanks, if worse came to worse we may have to wait until he got his next tax return to file for AOS, but I don't think it'll be a problem . I told him not to lose his paperwork for his tax return.

Mine we'd issued on the 8th & I got the email on the 11th - I had nothing from DX to say they were delivering so it was just luck I couldn't control myself and clicked on the tracking link

That's good news I finish here at work tomorrow so should be at home when it gets delivered, thanks for the info.

Haha I'll be doing the same ;)

I got my day of email wrong above, it was the 10th & DX were supposed to deliver on the 11th - if they schedule a day you aren't going to be there you can reschedule on the DX site :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

If they can wait until Saturday, that would be perfect. Helpful to know thanks, I've got a couple of weeks at home before flying out on the 5/3 :)

Heading down to London soon in advance of interview tomorrow, only so many times I can check my file that I've got all my stuff.

It's not really hit me that this time tomorrow I could have been told I've been approved, so excited at the prospect :)

I'm not sure whether to worry - my medical was on 02/02/16 and I submitted my Notification of Readiness on 09/02/16, but on the CEAC visa tracker my file was last changed on 05/02/16. Have I done something wrong? Could I have missed anything? Other than the webpage telling me my NOR had gone through I never got any kind of receipt or confirmation that it had been accepted... Or am I just panicking needlessly?

Sat eagerly waiting for my case to change from 'in transit' to 'ready' all these little milestones all add up - hope everyone is having a good day with their process, good luck to those that have interviews tomorrow and next week.

I'm currently sat stuck invigilating an exam whilst doing some wedding planning - all provisional obviously until after the interview.

Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan, not long to wait at least. Yep, constant checking, my passport will not have moved from where I last put it, but I still check regardless!

Yeah, closer I get to London, the more the butterflies are going in my stomach. Should be fine though

My fiance had his medical the same day, he submitted the readiness the 3rd of Feb, and our tracker was last updated the 5th as well. I'm assuming that was the medical information being received now that you've mentioned the same.

We were curious about this as well!

So PLEASE any experienced VJers please let us know your experience!

CEAC updated a few days after my medical then didn't change again until after my interview :)

The letter with my appointment arrived 12th Jan ( medical was 17th Dec)

Planning gives you something tangible to do and saves the CEAC site from blowing up due to repeated checking.....
