Have you had your medical, or is it booked? It won't get scheduled until the Embassy has your medical results, but from my experience, I actually got my interview letter 8 days after the I had my medical, having already submitted by notification of readiness and the rest of it. Gave me 3 weeks notice of my interview date, which was a good amount of time. Just got to wait until next Friday to have it now!

I got my letter Jan 12th for interview 2/2, however I know some folks have only had a few days notice

It really depends. Me and friend on here both submitted our Notification of Readiness on the same day after a very similar medical date and we both got our letters on the same day as well. His appointment was scheduled for just 5 days later but fiance's was for almost a month out.

The only difference that we could think caused this was that he selected a much closer wedding date on his Notification of Readiness than we did.

Thanks everyone for sharing! I've had my medical and selected a wedding date at the end of April (more or less at random, since we have nothing concrete). It sounds like things vary quite a lot so I'll just keep my fingers crossed. When it comes to dates a lot of this feels like a giant guessing game - I still haven't handed in my notice at work since I don't want to overshoot and wind up unemployed for weeks on end before I get approved!

And good luck Andy, I hope your interview goes well!

I'm going to have a little grumble (not a big one, just a little). So I wrote down exactly what I wanted in my GP letter. Bearing in mind I am paying for this service.. the doctor wrote a letter that was hardly plausible, I can't use it. They wanted me to pay for that letter. I told them that I was really sorry and I couldn't pay for it as this wasn't what I asked for. I have written again "VERY CLEARLY" what I want to be included in the letter. I don't care if I have to pay more for it, it's very specific and is Knightsbridges template. I really don't understand why it was so hard to do what I asked the first time around?! I am getting royaly narked (is the politest way I can put it) at my doctors surgury and when I have what I need I am considering complaining higher up. They are understaffed, I really do understand that. But at the same time, if someone is paying for a service either do it right, or wait until you can. This has caused me a ton of un-needed, un-wanted, stress to an already lengthy process.

Rant over, I am now calm. I will get my letter eventually. :bonk:

Congratulations! Fantastic news, how was it? What did they ask and what docs did they ask for?

Thank you, wasn't too bad the wait leading up to the chat was worse than the actual interview! The docs provided were the tax return and W2 didn't use the bank statements or wage slips.

Congratulations ??

Cheers, I'm now going to be an AFCB exile haha.

Thats great news :)

Thank you :)

Congratulations from Bournemouth.

Thanks Bournemouth is now going to be another person lighter.
