Not sure about others but my anxiety is through the roof and the tears haven't stopped ! Obviously I'm excited to be reunited.. still scary !

I've got my case and invoice number off my Fiancee who rang the NVC my job today is to book my medical!!!!

Sorry guys I've been looking at various threads and the K1 pinned thread about what to do next after getting my LDN number, our case is still at the NVC, I'm not sure when it got there as my Fiancee rang them up when I was sleeping (time difference) anyway the person she spoke to said our case was still at the NVC, have my Fiancee the LDN and invoice numbers but didn't say anything else.

I know ideally the plan is to wait for the case to get to London and be "Ready" before booking the medical and everything else, I've read various threads of people booking their Medical as soon as they have their LDN numbers, I'm looking at booking mine 3 to 4 weeks from now due to work issues and time off, if I was to ring this week with the dates in mind would they book me in?

Also do you just need the LDN number to book the medical?

Pretty much the way i'm feeling about Friday, minus the tears so far.

It is a completely different world everything you know will be changing, just think though you'll be starting a journey with the one you love and all you have been through to get where you are now.

Thanks for the reply Nich-Nick! I sent off for my police certificate 2 weeks ago, it should be here this week and I'm getting my shots done at my doctors next monday. I will get an updated copy of my vaccination records, I have the Passport photos ready for the medical too.

Thanks guys for words of support ! No amount of planning really prepares you for the actual day. Luckily I don't have many friends but saying bye to my mum and sister was pretty traumatic! Glad to see things moving forward in here. I will be in touch !

Nope it certainly doesn't I'll be the same way, the only real ties are my parents, sister and nan. Not looking forward to that day.

Received my new case number this morning, do have a question though on the case tracker it says 'immigrant' with the case number but all NOA's state non immigrant - any ideas?

K1 is definitely non immigrant isn't it? NVC checked it was for K1.

Confused but also VERY excited things are moving forward.

You are processed by the Immigrant Visa Unit because you have more requirements similar to immigrants than the other non-immigrant visas. It will be immigrant for checking status, paying, courier, entry sticker number on interview day. But right before "issued", the status checker changes to non-immigrant. Another clue you are getting close.

EAD card finally being produced. Feeling more like a real person now haha!

Issues with the healthcare marketplace, however, have tainted this news somewhat. While verifying my eligibility (great!) they are still saying that we need to give more information to verify our household income. Not sure how much more we can send them considering we've sent them my wife's contract, a large selection of recent paystubs, a letter explaining my situation and a copy of the NOA for the EAD to show I'm waiting to work! Considering this has been going on since November, it's getting a little frustrating!
