Your be all good :D time sure does fly!!!

Another 11 days for me, starting to feel the nerves a little.

It flies, it'll be your turn in a heartbeat :D:

I'm not in the least bit nervous, I'm sure I'll be a gibbering wreck in the morning though

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Sure hope so, only a 2 day week of working next week, make a nice change :)

Haha it's only natural to be, even more so when you're on the way over to the Embassy.

Bring it on, be happy when it's all out of the way.

I've just got off the phone with my nurse at my Doctors surgery, I explained the situation regarding the vaccinations, I need a Td booster, 2nd MMR jab and Flu jab. She has booked me in to get my 2nd MMR jab and Flu jab on the 15th, I am getting both for free.

She won't give me another Td jab as I've had 5 already and says I'm covered for life (by UK standards yes) I'm now looking at how much it will costs to get at boots or at Knightsbridge when I go for my medical, I don't mind paying for the 1 injection.

I was also told that it's a maximum of 5 tetanus jabs in your lifetime. We couldn't work out how many I've had because I've lived overseas and they haven't been able to get my records from there.

If you've had the 5, surely that's enough for your visa purposes? Or were they all a long time ago?

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I've re looked at my vaccination record and its true I've had 5 tetanus jabs, the last one though was in 2004 which is over 10 years ago. According to the information I've read on here if you had one over 10 years ago you need another booster to comply with US medical standards, its more for the AOS rather than the K1 obviously but I am going to look into it more.

I get my information from the USCIS Policy Manual or the Adjudicator's Field Manual

See the vaccination page http://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter9.html

That is Subchapter 9 under Volume 8-Admissability, Part B - Health-Related Grounds of Admissability.

Scroll way down to footnote 3

3. Applicants who have completed the initial DTP/DTaP/DT or Td/Tdap series should receive a Td/Tdap booster shot every 10 years. If the last dose was received more than 10 years ago, the applicant is required to have the booster shot, otherwise the applicant is inadmissible under INA 212(a)(1)(A)(ii).

It's £32 at boots or £35 at the embassy I believe (as of their current prices). I had mine done at Boots on friday and paid £32 for it. I am starting to get stressed about the amount of applicants saying they have RFEd for their divorce decree. It's making me worry that we'll RFE.

Eh, I would pay the extra £3 and get the jab done at Knightbridge. My fiance got his flu shot done at Boots a month or so before the medical and at some point - either with his GP or Knightsbridge - there was and issue and apparently it was no good in the record and he had to get a new one done at Knightsbridge anyway? If the problem was with his GP listing the jab incorrectly on his record (It looked normal to me along with all the other listings... but I'm not a doctor I guess) then there is a good chance it won't be a problem for your TD you as I am sure you have a different GP that will do it right. But then again, if the difference is only around £3 I would say it's better to just wait and make sure it gets on your record the way it needs to be and you aren't paying twice. There is also the issue of whether or not it's safe to get a TD shot twice in that short of a time frame, but again I'm not a doctor so I have no idea.

That was just my experience, though. I could be the only one it has ever happened to and ever will happen to but for £3 it's something to think about!

Well. Today things seem like they're moving along at last. My wife called NVC on Friday and he told her to call back in two weeks minimum. Well, we are impatient people so just called today not expecting anything at all. Turns out they gave her the case number! Thank God we ignored the guy. So we filled out the ds261 and paid the aos fee just now . I haven't seen her since November 21. Tough. But exciting times. And as if today couldn't get any better, I saw gardening legend Alan Titchmarsh in M&S simply food. He was buying yogurt.
