Yeah what a delight this gig is! Hoping not to if i'm honest, ready for a clean break but if it comes down to it I would.

That sounds more fun than my job speaking to companies like Aviva and UK Insurance.

Sounds like you enjoy a lot more than me haha.

Oh and just to add I work for the insurer with the green heart that haunts me on tv.

Tbh, I want to try and get out of it, but I don't know what! Anyway, working isn't on my mind for a good 3 months cos we won't get married until May.

Ahhh.. Lv! (now I have the song in my head)!

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

Any ideas how long it takes London to allocate you an interview date after you've had your medical and submitted all the Packet 3 stuff? Just getting impatient to get on with my new life soon!

When was your medical?

Have you submitted DS160 and readiness form?

It says they can take up to 6 weeks to schedule medical. However mine was done in 4 weeks. On average it's 4-6 weeks going by stats from other VJ members.

Medical was on Wednesday, all went well thankfully. I know it takes a few days for the medical results to get sent to the embassy,I'm just being impatient.

Yes, I've submitted both DS160 and the readiness form, got all my docs sorted for the interview as well. Just wanted to get a rough idea what the expected kind of time frame is. Is it best to ring up in a couple of weeks to find out the interview date, or just to wait for the letter to come through the post?

Hope everyones journeys are going well!

That'll be the one, the advert does my nut in!!!

Our plan is around May, more towards the end though, so i'll be looking to go early March and sat on my rear for a good few months looking likely it could be 4-5 months with the AOS :o

Oh and to answer the question about the medical to interview, I had mine just over a couple of weeks ago and i'm still waiting.

Don't ring - no point. London won't tell you anything. If you are THAT impatient, which I completely understand, then you can keep checking you status on the CEAC website. It should stay as "ready" but it will tell you when it was "last updated". It will probably update when London received the medical results, and update again when the interview has been scheduled. THEN, you can call the NVC and they might tell you..

HAVING SAID THIS, my status updated on 11th Jan. I called NVC, they said my interview was not schedule, but then I got my letter from London 2 days later.

Really, you just have to be patient. If you haven't heard anything in 3 weeks, call NVC. Only call London when it's been 6 weeks or more.

EDIT - you have no choice but to sit and wait for at least 2-3 weeks.

For those that are waiting for an interview date for a while and not received a letter from them, while you can ask the NVC about if there is an interview date assigned, I had good success with emailing (there is no point in calling) the consulate directly. They did confirm the date and when the letter was sent out.

Don't expect the letter to come super fast though.

I have a query ref the interview - I have been reading reviews. Technically, K1 visa is Non-Immigrant, but would I be correct in saying that when at the London embassy, we get in line for Immigrant visa?

Same boat as you guys.

Medical was done on January 12th and NVC web site was updated on the 15th. She sent in the readiness form on the 22 of December as well as completing the DS160 hoping it would help time wise. We check the NVC web site a couple of times a day and I had called them a couple of times already too.

Were very impatient too! This has been the longest we've been apart! Hard to make wedding plans when she is not here to do so. We were hoping to get married mid February but now its looking like mid March. I'm checking air fairs too and they have come down a lot since the last time we booked. It was $1200.00 for a round trip and this morning it's down to $611.00. It is a lot cheaper to book a round trip and cancel the return trip vs buying a one way ticket.

Good luck to everybody who is waiting and waiting and waiting!

Just got woken up a 5:30am this morning by my fiance. She got her interview letter for this Wednesday the 27th at 8am! :joy::dance:

Can't sleep now. Unfortunately she is very sick with a bad cold so I hope she is better in a couple of days. :(

She has a cousin who lives in London so she is going to stay with her Tuesday night so she can make the interview the next morning.

Hoping everybody else here gets some good news soon!
