Thanks Phoebe, do you know how long it took for you to receive the NVC letter? They received my case on the 30th of January. I'm seeing Kas this week in New York, so if I don't have it to give to him, I'll just hope that I've got it before Thursday next week.

My NVC letter arrived after the letter from London! It took 1 month from the NOA2 letter.

Thank you! I'm hoping it gets something from the Embassy between now and next week. I just don't want him to get turned away at the medical for not having a letter or something 'official'.

Stupid American question: Can someone please explain to me the difference between pancakes and crepes? American pancakes are these thick fluffy things. Yours are like crepes to me but Daniel swears they are different, but has no clue how they are different.

To me Crepes are French and very thin, then there are American Pancakes which are thick, then there are UK style pancakes and then you can buy Scotch pancakes- which are from scotland style I think.

They want to take your money so not likely to send him home over a letter.

"Gosh darn, I can't find that [searching through papers]. Want me to send a copy when I get home?"

You have to kinda lie and fake it if you push the order that London tells you to follow.

Just had someone who has never spoken to me before PM me and ask me to change my signature because it hurt them to see my fast approval/my complaint regarding USPS taking so long to deliver my package, so I've hidden it in a spoiler. I deeply sympathise with what all the TSC filers are going through, and I have no wish to aggravate anyone, but I think asking me to change it was slightly unfair, however I have done so because I really don't want to be causing anyone unnecessary grief! Anyway, the reason I am posting is to appologise if my signature upset any other TSC filers, or anyone at all for that matter, I didn't mean to be insensitive.

No way! That's crazy. It's easy to get jealous of people with fast approvals (heck I'm a little bugged that my interview was 3 weeks away when someone who had their medical on the same day got theirs a lot sooner! It's all petty feelings though, it's not a big deal) but not hurt. You're a better person, I would have ignored it. I agree, it's awful what TSC people are going through, but for some to lash out at other people is just wrong!

Juvenile to PM you and ask that. A whole lot of this is luck and not like you pulled some unethical trick. Put your signature back.

The progress monthly threads should be separate by service centers. Then people can keep up with only people in the same boat with them. I just looked at those and wonder when the shift from separate service center threads started.

And childish! Patience is a virtue! I was at TSC and by God's grace got transferred to California . I still had to wait patiently up until that moment .

Thanks folks, I wish they'd just blocked me to be honest, would have been far easier. The ironic thing is yesterday I changed it to a smaller front to make sure it wasn't taking up too much space, obviously that was a waste of time as I then received this message :P I'm happy to keep it in a spoiler- I also removed the smilies as she asked that I "tone it down with the smilies" and I am now worried other people feel the same. I'd really hate to be "that girl" thats greeted with rolling eyes every time she posts!

Glad nobody else was annoyed with me

That's ridiculous that someone messaged you to do that everyone's story is different and people should try to understand that.

I must admit when I read signatures or timelines with quick approval I do feel like how did that happen or is possible. I was told by RapidVisa company that in general it takes between 3-5 months for getting approval for example so my fiance and I had that time frame in mind, my fiance was convinced it may take longer, I was feeling sure we would be approved after 3 months and it turned out we were. We were processed at the California Center which I have heard lately is quicker than the Texas Center. I wonder why though, I also think it depends on everyone's circumstances or if they get RFE etc. I know in our situation it was a smooth process and we included everything we needed in the petition and double checked we didn't forget anything. Also what to consider is sometimes where the Beneficiary is from or if they have convictions or medical things. There are lots of reasons really that a petition approval can take time. I remember the main reason my fiance thought our petition would take longer is because we heard the USCIS had a delay because of loads of petitions and they had a computer error problem, had to fix the computers. Then the NVC stage had abit of a delay it took about 6 weeks for our petition to be sent to the US embassy.

Yeah so the point of everything I am writing is every couple has a different story and processing time, so the person who judged you was being unreasonable whoever they are.

Also one thing I have learnt in life is to keep opinions to myself whatever I have about things and I would never tell someone to change their signature.
