Question ref interview documents I need to take...

Would I be correct in saying that the documents they ask for (other than birth certificate whereby you bring yours AND your USC fiancé), are documents relevant to the INTERVIEWEE only?! For example, it says military records, my fiancé WAS in the military - I am not.. so I don't bring HIS military docs?!

Yup they've already confirmed he is who he says he is, this bit is about you (apart from the affidavit of support and new letter of intent if needed) :)

It's exciting we're all moving fast, I can't believe we're at interview stage in less than 4 months!

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Oh #######, do you need the other half's birth certificate?

No the powers that be in the US have already verified the details (says she desperately hoping this is correct but everything I have read says it's not needed)

Hmm... conflicting. The London Embassy interview instructions ON THE WEBSITE say no. BUT, if you print the checklist as a PDF - it says yes. I don't think you do, if you don't need anything else from the USC. I'm just taking it because I have it.

Ok, could I ask for a document checklist check from you guys? This is what I have ready for interview:

1. Packet 4 letter to show to guards at Embassy

2. Birth Certs

3. I-134 signed by petitioner with supporting documents

4. I-134 signed by co-sponsor with supporting documents

5. Police certificate

6. Proof of payment

7. Passport

I have copies of all of the above, EXCEPT passport, Packet 4, proof of payment.

In my job, we always have to "SPOE" each others work. SPOE meaning "second pair of eyes". Please may I request this from you guys! I feel like that isn't much documentation!

EDIT: And passport style photo

Looks all good to me, the only thing I can't see is the 2 US sized passport pics.

In respect of the I-134 supporting docs I have a bank statement and a couple off payslips as well as the tax return will that be enough?

Yes that is fine, that's what I have too, with the addition of a letter form his employer. Are the pay slips W2's?

Just seen my passport photos need to be 2"x 2" so I need to get those done again - dammit.

Do we attached the photo to anything?!

Think I'm going to ask for a letter from her employer, I'll get it emailed though and make sure it's headed, as for the payslips not a clue!

I think they just have to be loose, then they can do whatever they want to them.

Yeh, my fiancés letter from employer just states when he started, what his role was and how much he earned annually. He's retired military now hence why I need co-sponsor because he is going back to school and can't prove future income.

Does your fiancés bank letter state the total deposits made? As long as the documents show tax they'll be ok. y fiancés says W2 written all over it..

From what I've read, as long as the I-134 is ORIGINAL signed copy, the back up can be prints.

I'll send her an email and ask for it to be done asap, that way it's covered.

Ah ok, that would make sense. It's just the lady covering me to go over.

I'm not sure to be honest they're all at home and i'm "working" ;) But they are kind of like my Lloyds ones so should be ok there.

That's cool then I had her write it up when I was there last and brought it back with me.

This all such good fun!!!

All looks good.

In addition I was asked for the confirmation of the DS-160 printout at the first security check before going in (along with passport & appointment letter).

Just my (UK beneficiary) birth certificate.

You can get US passport photos at most supermarkets for £7.

I just took a letter from her employer as evidence for the I-134, stating how long employed, that she's full time and the amount earned.

Our petition had been extended but had expired again last week so I had new letters of intent. I asked if they needed them but they said no as the I-134 covered that from my fiancee and as I was there in person that covered me! If you need them take them though just in case!

So I can get a letter from her employer saying that stuff and it's all cool, and the bit about the birth certificate sets my mind at ease thanks :)
