Stupid American question: Can someone please explain to me the difference between pancakes and crepes? American pancakes are these thick fluffy things. Yours are like crepes to me but Daniel swears they are different, but has no clue how they are different.

I would like to know that too. I make crepes and he calls them pancakes so can't be too far off. He does like American pancakes, except without syrup.

Edit: he just said my crepes are exactly the same.

April- crepes are wafer thin. Our pancakes are typically a thickness which is half way between a crepe and an american pancake. Hope that helps!

April-- my "crepes" are actually a generations old family recipe called Swedish Pancakes because it came from the Swedish branch of our family tree. They are thin, the size of a skillet, and roll up. Maybe they aren't crepes at all. My daughters (the fifth generation) renamed them Roll Up Pancakes.

Do you need the embassy letter or NVC letter for your medical exam? Or do you just need to know the case number?

I took my NVC letter, however I have read on here that as long as you know the case number its fine, you just have to say you understand its not their responsibility if the medical results get to the embassy before your petition. Could always just scan it over and have them print it off though I suppose?! Hope his medical goes well!

Crepes are super thin, whereas pancakes are a bit thicker but still the size of a frying pan. American pancakes are so dinky and thick! I like them both =). Just stuffed my face full of pancakes (UK style!)...probably not the best post-workout food.

Thanks Phoebe, do you know how long it took for you to receive the NVC letter? They received my case on the 30th of January. I'm seeing Kas this week in New York, so if I don't have it to give to him, I'll just hope that I've got it before Thursday next week.

Hmm it was fairly quick for us but don't remember exactly! Have a great time in New York! I will dig out the letter and check the date for you later
