So I had my medical yesterday. All I can say to people who haven't had theirs is not to worry because it was a million times less traumatic than I thought ! I was waiting around longer than the actual medical took! I need one jab but I'm getting it done on NHS.

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

You might want to ask them to hold your results until you can get the jab and have your doctor office fax over the proof. They can revise the DS-3025 vaccination sheet before it goes to the embassy. Will save you money and hassle of going to a civil surgeon in the US.

They said it was ok to get it done by NHS they didn't mention it needs to go that form. They just asked I get proof. Now I feel like I've messed it up I should have got it done there....

Read the first post in this thread "Another warning K1s Get Your Shots" http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541811-another-warning-k1s-get-your-shots/?p=7535262

Edit to add: Yes, it is okay to wait on the shots and you will still get a visa. But you will pay to have a new shot record filled out by a civil surgeon for your adjustment of status. If you get it on the Knightsbridge form, you do nothing further medically before AOS.

I don't know what will happen with who is working there now. When my husband had his medical, he went to NHS and got the shot and faxed proof o Knightsbridge. They filled out a new DS-3025 to put in the results packet for the embassy. They mailed him the photocopy of the new form. Other people this year and last year were able to do the same thing. I guess you need to find out how long before you can get the shot. Some NHS offices won't even do them free if for immigration.

I might be able to get my jab at doctors in the new year. Knightsbridge is closed bow and they won't be sending my results until 4th Jan so I'm gonna call them then.

Are there any threads about asking Knightsbridge to hold results until I get my MMR done? I have looked for the last hour and can't find anything.

I emailed Knightsbridge on 24th Dec asking them to hold my results. I have my jab booked for 4th Jan 2016. After my medical, which was on 23rd Dec, I was told no results were being sent now until Jan 4th - so I am PRAYING I will be ok and they will update my DS3025 for me.. I am seeking reassurance but can't find any specific cases.

Happy New Year to you all (I'd put some fancy emoticon here if I wasn't so stupid & knew how!)

Waiting patiently for my interview date, medical was Dec 17 & status update was Dec 23rd, am hoping to be with Joe some time in Feb but will be happy just to have a date :)

Currently in the middle of clearing my house as the sale completes Jan 29th, it's amazing how much 'stuff' accumulates in 20 years and when it comes down to it how little I cannot part with.

Wishing all VJ ers a happy and stress free year full of love and laughter xx

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Trudi - I'm with you there in how much "stuff" I have. It's ridiculous! I've now taken the approach that if I've not worn or used it in over a year I don't need it so it can go.

Hope you get your interview date soon.

Trying to get through to Knightsbridge, is a bag of laughs at the moment, constant engaged tone :ranting:

KEEP TRYING. I had the same problem. I need to call them too today. I have had my medical but I am getting my last jab done at docs in about 45 mins and I need them to update my DS form. They are a pain.. but keep going!

FABULOUS! And good luck.. NOTE - if you haven't had all your jabs GET THEM DONE AT KNIGHTSBRIDGE WITHOUT FAIL, NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT COSTS. I was stupid enough to not do that, hence the manic rush to get my MMR done via NHS and now hoping Knightsbridge will update my form. They will try and tell you you can get it done at NHS but it will NOT be accepted at AOS stage. I'm sure you know this, I unfortunately panicked on the day and messed it up. I am now going to call them....!

The medical is so quick and simple! you'll be fine!
