yeah im ready. my medical is on the 25th feb after that ill be issuing my readiness form

I filled out my DS-160 on the 23rd December but nothing happened until they received my medical results start of feb.

any know how long of average it takes them to look at a completed ds-160?

i filled mine out on the tenth of feb but the CEAC status hasnt changed, is the par the course and expected or should they have read it by now?

I don't think anybody actually reads it. And don't count on knowing why or when your CEAC status will update. There is no pattern you can absolutely count on. Everybody is kinda guessing really.

You can submit your readiness form before you have your medical. On the form it asks for the date of your medical. I submitted mine on the 24th Jan, had my medical on the 28th Jan then received my letter on the 10th Feb.

my fiancé did not receive the physical letter yet...it was mailed on the 11th... glad I emailed the embassy. I will wait until Wednesday to see if it comes...if not I will email them back, doesn't he need that apt letter to present at the embassy?

You have 21 days. Why is Wednesday the deadline??

Did you get an email with the date? Isn't that confirmation?

I was emailed back with his date but he has nothing. he only knows because I told him. I thought one must present the apt letter at the interview

Forward the email to him.

They also have a list they can check for his name even if he showed up with nothing.

He will get in,no matter what as long as he goes on the correct date.

Gosh Im having a bit of a panic! I was dissembling the steam cleaner the other day and caught my thumb so there is a small cut near the top by the nail, hoping desperately it won't affect my finger printing and therefore my visa! Having had my prints done so many times before for J1 visas/ US entry I am pretty sure it's not the area that gets scanned but I'm so worried! So typical for this to happen!

Ouch! I'm not sure if it will be an issue or not but I doubt it!! I know I'll be panicking about things too nearer the time . Good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes!

I think as its so near the top of my thumb it should be fine Shana! Fingers crossed!

Don't worry about it. This doesn't change your unique finger print. Even if the injury shows up, the rest of the print will be consistent. People do cut (and lop the tips off) their fingers from time to time. The only thing that would have bugged me about that would have been if they were doing those messy old ink fingerprints - I'd be annoyed about the thought of any of that filthy ink going into a cut. Now they are all digital Don't let it worry you. Get some sleep.
