you think you have problems, I'm awaiting the packet 3 and I found out last Friday some random woman in a different part of London and with a completely different surname to mine received 2 x packet 3's, the trouble is my full petition was in one of the envelopes with her packet 3, you couldn't make it up could you! So I never got my packet 3 , called the embassy to inform them of the mistake and it's not classed as an emergency, told to use the email contact from, 5 days response time. Good luck though hope you get yours sorted out, this process is already hard, with problems like this from their end it makes it harder.

That's a pretty glaring clerical error, however, I did want to mention that in packet 3 sometimes the I129F petition is in the packet. It's a copy with checkmarks and notations from the officer that reviewed it. Not sure why they give it back to you, but they did include it in my fiancé's packet 3. We found it pretty amusing, that all those ungodly months of waiting and it boiled down to a few squiggles on the pages that probably took all of five minutes.

Yes yuna628, a pretty glaring clerical error, that is an awful lot of information to be in a strangers hands, I am lucky though, the lady called me about it, otherwise I would have been none the wiser, and I have been over here home to collect it, you see a fellow visa journeyer, looking out for each other!

I saw the petition after the adjudicator got hold of it, yes all squiggles and ticks here and there, looks like your homework after the teacher has marked it, in their case I would write 'could do better'

To be honest its not too difficult, the hardest part is being patient!!

Interview was an absolute breeze, 4 questions, your approved, caught me off guard it was so quick and easy lol

In late, breaking news (and my fiancee's mother refusing to give up just yet) I've apparently been assigned an interview on Friday morning and will receive the letter tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest...

So I just called the nvc to update my address. On the occasion I asked if the interview was assigned to my case and she said I need to contact te embassy. I explained to her that letters often go missing and how I can find out. She kept insisting that they are unable to view that information and have to contact the embassy!

I am so confused!

You might not have an interview date yet. According to the website they are working on cases for Sept 14 or before. (where the readiness form date would be the date when all information is received at the embassy DS-160 reviewed and processed, medical results at embassy and readiness form submitted)

Thanks - the wait is almost unbearable but can only hope your case will be sorted asap. Keep badgering them is the moral of the story I think.
