Had my interview !!!

Accepted :D

Congratulations! Don't think I met you in the embassy, certainly met a few others, my ticket number was 901, so I was out before anyone else, but glad to hear you were accepted (me too!) What a bloody relief! Its been a LONG journey!

Congrats Gizzmondo

I'm awaiting my case to get to London, so I'm a while behind you, I have a question, my attorney is driving my fiancée crazy by demanding tons and tons of proof for the 134 affidavit of support, I have read on VJ that you only need 2 types of proof not 5, what was your experience on this.

Also she is demanding original divorce certificates, when we only have certified copies, the originals were kept by the court. Can you help with this question or anybody else out there help, thanks

Ive got to say, I only gave them my fiancees last year W2 when I was in the embassy, not even 100% sure that the bits of paper showed what they needed, but I got accepted anyways. I honestly honestly think its a pre determined thing when you get to interview stage. After the questions my interview lady very quickly, without hesitation said 'congratulations your visa is approved' it really seemed like she knew she was going to say it anyways.

Ahhh I have no idea yet! I'm looking around for cheap flights, so no idea on POE (want to end up in Tampa). Found a very good flight via Miami, but previous experiences of flying through there have been a nightmare, let alone with this paperwork, so not 100% sure I want to do that!

Wedding - we are going to do a very small court house wedding, as there really isn't time to plan anything this quickly, then have a big family celebration in April/May when we can arrange things better.

How about you?

Hi

flight booked for the 3rd, wedding on the 15th, again at the courthouse with 14 guests, all her side, my family dont travel :( Planning wise, we started planning back in June, made reservations, but not paid deposits yet, but I guess we can now :)

Still seems like a dream, I guess it'll become reality when I get through baggage and she's there :D

Congrats GSMA!

I know what you mean Gizzmondo! I can not wait! However, looking forward, filing for the AOS and EAD etc seem quite daunting. Just when I thought things were going to get easier! HA..... :(

Anyone got any advice or tips on those? I've read through the guides on here, but it does seems a little confusing. I want/need to start working as soon as I get there, but it seems like thats not really possible......?

There's one for interview --> visa in hand, I believe, but look at others' timelines (some helpfully put them in their signatures) for Readiness/Medical results received --> Packet 4.

Can take up to 6 weeks.

Yep, sadly. It's great to see people getting their interview dates and getting approved at their interviews. However, reading of people getting their interview dates when they had medicals at a similar time to me (while I'm still waiting) is frustrating for sure!

I've been calling the NVC every couple of days too, and nothing in terms of an interview date yet. I would recommend doing that as people have said on here (one just a few posts up in fact) they they never have got their 'packet 4' letter from London.

Your signature timeline is very detailed, yet it makes no mention of the visa application form DS-160. Is that a timeline oversight or did you not do the form?

Oversight, yes. I did that a few days before I sent the readiness on the 29th. I include the readiness submission as shorthand for having done all the packet 3 instructions. If it is helpful I can go back and check when I did it and add it in.

I have had confirmation from the embassy that they have my DS-160 (they said they had all the forms they needed and my medical results so assume they received my readiness too) and I have had confirmation from the NVC advisors on that each time I've called.

EDIT: Completed my DS-160 on July 25th.
