I still haven't received packet 4 but have email confirmation of the date of interview. It never arrived (I don't think they sent anything!) and the embassy don't seem willing to send a second copy. They however reassured me that I can just bring a copy of the email with me confirming the date of my interview. Bit annoying, but I am led to believe that everything in packet 4 is on their website at the links they provided, anyway.

I have my interview three weeks today. Gathering all the bits and pieces for it is less than fun! So bored of having to justify absolutely everything, over and over again.... but I suppose you don't want to turn up without all the necessities and then some. I don't know how much 'on-going relationship' proof you need to bring, all I am doing is updating most of what I provided in the earlier stages of this process.

Hi, how long since your medical? I see so many posts where people have received their interview date within a couple of weeks of the medical, we had ours September 1st so hoping we receive notification soon. Good luck with your interview!

Good place to check is people's timelines. Most have them populated. But I warn you that you can drive yourself mad comparing your timeline to others, insisting that you must be next or why haven't you had updates etc. Been there, done that. You'll realise this entire process is not fair, there is no order to it, it is random and a game of luck. Just look at some of the posts in this thread for examples of that. You'll get word when you get word and not before. I suspect you have a fair bit more time to wait yet. I had my medical over a month ago and don't have the interview till early October.

Clearly I'm aware of that, it was a lighthearted question. We've been going through this since last October, I'm certainly no stranger to the process but its natural to be curious of other peoples journeys. Good luck

I can see in your signature that you never received packer 4 but 'email copy'. do they send the email once the interview is scheduled? ????

No they didn't, I called NVC after getting frustrated of no updates approx. 6 weeks after readiness form/4 weeks after medical. I was told an interview had been scheduled at that point (lucky I rang). Apparently a letter was sent in the mail but it didn't arrive (and still hasn't). London hasn't sent a replacement, but they did confirm date/time via email and said just print that and show it at the embassy and it will be fine. I'm not convinced London ever sent a letter (it seems there have been plenty of occasions where they haven't & although delays in mail are common, mail rarely goes completely missing these days.....).

The interview scheduling didn't coincide with my case file being touched either, so it's not a case of watching CEAC waiting for an update (which initially I was doing) because my interview was scheduled a while after it had been last touched. So worth calling reasonably regularly, just in case.

I think I've just discovered that the case status means little. I realised yesterday that the case status changing coincided with me getting an email response to the contact form yesterday and, my fiancee's congressperson's assistant had contacted them last week... funnily enough around the same time the case status updated last week. The updates, I fear, have meant nothing, only that they looked at the case file to answer the queries. The emails received both at my fiancee's end and mine both confirmed they have everything they need to process the case (which I hope means they have my readiness form) but I don't think I'm any closer to knowing when my interview is going to be and cancelling and rescheduling our wedding date is becoming a very real possibility now. Looking on here and seeing people get their interview letters after 2 or 3 weeks hasn't helped with the frustration, but there's a reason why they tell you not to make plans before having that visa in your hand, folks! But, considering we started this process back in December, I had no reason to believe it wouldn't have been sorted by now. Nothing I can do but wait.

I'm at a similar stage to you, Starsky, as we both know - did you use the contact form to get email confirmation from London once you did receive an interview date through NVC? I think I'll start calling NVC daily (I called yesterday and previously early last week) as today is 4 weeks since they likely received my medical results, tomorrow will be 5 weeks since the medical itself and 7 since readiness submitted.

I really feel for you. I am sure you recall us having a conversation earlier in this thread where I was explaining the circumstances you yourself now find yourself in. Very similar timescales too. 6 weeks since readiness and nearly 5 since the medical when I finally got my date. I kept ringing NVC every couple of days, I also emailed the London embassy, just so happened that on the day I decided to be really pro-active about it they had in fact assigned an interview about a week earlier, but because I hadn't received the letter I knew nothing about it.

I still don't think a letter was ever sent, but I have no proof of that, but how many letters 'go missing' in the mail these days.. very few! Anyway, swji89, to be fair I have exchanged about 4 emails now with the London embassy and they have been very prompt (if a bit robotic), so I would chase them up and just make sure they have everything they need from you. Good luck!

I know what you mean about the robotic responses. Their email said that they have all the documents they require to process me for an interview and then the stock answer that they will be in touch 'within a few weeks' with an interview date. It should be far less than 'a few weeks' at this stage grrr!
