I think the 'contact form' might be referring to the online form you can use to email the embassy once it's been 6 weeks since you sent your readiness form. Nothing to worry about at this stage. Yep, you just have to wait. You can try calling the NVC in America after a few weeks to see if they have an interview date logged in the system before you get the letter from London. That's what I've been doing. I also filled out the online form this past Wednesday (6 weeks after readiness submitted) and then my case status updated on Thursday, so hoping that's good news as I said.

Thanks for your advice. Just incase I do need it, could you please advise on where I find the contact form? Many thanks ?

Just tick the option that says 'I wish to know the status of my immigrant or fiancé visa application' and make sure you give your LND number (i.e. the number on the NOA 2) letter.

If you're like me you'll get a pretty standard response as I did this morning. Case Status updated again though, presumably because they looked at it to send me the email haha.

Well good luck to you! I can see that they are now processing the readiness forms received on or before 4th September so mine should be included in that. Very stressful as my fiancé would like to fly into the UK to attend the interview with me but due to his works commitments and not knowing when the interview will be it's becoming unlikely that he can come if we don't get enough notice. I know it's not a requirement for him to be there but he's been extremely supportive throughout the last year and wants to see it through with me!

I certainly hope so as my medical results arrived around August 18th. No idea why it's taking them so long with mine :(

Me again, just a quick one - I note from the embassy interview reviews for the London Consulate that one lady was asked to hand in a DS-230 form even though she was going over on a K1/K2 visa. Do I need to fill this form in? As it is much like the DS-160 form. The embassy 1-4 step guide does not instruct to complete that. Thanks

A K1 does NOT need a DS-230. That is an old paper form four pages long that was used prior to the online submissions of the visa application. Formerly the K1s did Part 1 (first two pages) and the spouse visa folks did Part 1 and 2 (all four pages). The paper forms were turned in at the interview.

If you are genuine (no doubt you are) and you have everything prepared, the interview at the London Embassy is a breeze. Really nothing to worry about!

Also, I'm not sure if non interviewees are allowed in to the Embassy to accompany someone booked for a visa interview? I could be completely wrong about that, but double check that a relative/ partner is allowed to accompany you. Embassy security is very strict, and if your partner's name is not on their list and cross checked with photo ID's/ passports/ case numbers, then they may have to wait outside the Embassy.

Better to confirm well in advance if your partner can come in with you, and save the possibility of having your partner book a flight only to have to sit outside the Embassy whilst you still do the interview on your own!

US partners are allowed into the embassy with prior request via the contact form. I went to my fiance's interview. Others have as well. When you know the date, use this contact form http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

It says spouse/child but tick that for your fiance. You might want to send it now and in the explanation state you are concerned that you have not received an interview yet. Kill two birds with one stone.

The embassy certainly replied to me through the contact form when I asked them regarding the interview date. I don't know if it mattered or not, but I did state we were asking regarding the date because of work commitments. They were very fast to reply, and within a day or so the interview letter (packet 4) arrived anyway. So if you need to know, don't be afraid to ask them.

If you go into the embassy website and look under 'status check' it lists the processing dates for the forms ?

I still haven't received packet 4 but have email confirmation of the date of interview. It never arrived (I don't think they sent anything!) and the embassy don't seem willing to send a second copy. They however reassured me that I can just bring a copy of the email with me confirming the date of my interview. Bit annoying, but I am led to believe that everything in packet 4 is on their website at the links they provided, anyway.

I have my interview three weeks today. Gathering all the bits and pieces for it is less than fun! So bored of having to justify absolutely everything, over and over again.... but I suppose you don't want to turn up without all the necessities and then some. I don't know how much 'on-going relationship' proof you need to bring, all I am doing is updating most of what I provided in the earlier stages of this process.
