Has anyone else got their interview on Friday (11th)? I'm literally so worried, I don't know what to do! Best of luck to all of you waiting!

Also, anyone else had an issue with their petition expiring a few days before their appointment? I did call the embassy, and they said they changed the date, but I don't now have a letter with that date on it....do you think this will be an issue?!

Thanks - Alex

My fiancé had the medical exam a week ago and our case status was updated on CEAC today. I can only imagine that means that they've received everything they need. I would assume Packet 4 will be shipped out within a couple days now?

My poe was austin and to anyone thats flying there its hilarious they've clearly never done that kind of visa much before

i got taken into a back room which was clearly there break room/office/old stuff room and got told to sit with all the officers on break

i could then hear them all talking amongst themselves trying to figure out what to do with the paper work and they said they'd only recently had training on it

all in all took about 30 minutes from the front desk to done so would recommend if anyones thinking to fly there as poe! :)

Not necessarily. My case status was updated on the 18th of August (which would've been medical results arriving). I've heard nothing since. Have used the contact form as it was 6 weeks since the readiness form was sent (even if it's not 6 weeks since the medical results arriving). Hopefully you'll have better luck, but it can take 6 weeks according to the official advice.

That's one of the reasons I chose NYC (JFK) as my POE before I connected to my final destination. Having previously travelled to small (and so sloooooooow) 'international' airports such as Raleigh/ Durham, I wanted to avoid those with such small passport control sections, and likely inexperienced officers. At a large, international hub airport, the CBP officers there are likely to be much more aware and up to date with dealing with all manner of visas. As such, my K1 visa experience at JFK was quick, smooth and painless

CEAC Case Status updated today (first time since August 18th). This HAS to be the interview date and letter being issued, surely! Maybe the long road is nearly over... Speaking of POE, I'm planning on going through Atlanta as I've travelled through there many a time now. Anything to ease the tension and nerves.

When I arrived back in 2012 it was at Boston. They must be so used to the K-1 I didn't even get sent to secondary, which seems to be the vast minority of the time; it was a five minute event and then I was on my way.

There's that smell again...

Cheers all! I'll let you know if anything drops through the letterbox tomorrow! If not, I might give the NVC one more call to see if they've updated my file with an interview date yet!

Hi all. Our case status was last updated on September 4th, I assume that's when they received mine and my daughter's medical results from our September 1st examination. Am I right in thinking there is nothing we can do but wait for our interview date to come through? Readiness forms were completed the week before the medical and I did originally ask for help on here but after reading some threads I'm back to worrying that I've not filled out a contact form (I have no idea what this is or where to find it or even if I need to fill it out) Thanks

I think the 'contact form' might be referring to the online form you can use to email the embassy once it's been 6 weeks since you sent your readiness form. Nothing to worry about at this stage. Yep, you just have to wait. You can try calling the NVC in America after a few weeks to see if they have an interview date logged in the system before you get the letter from London. That's what I've been doing. I also filled out the online form this past Wednesday (6 weeks after readiness submitted) and then my case status updated on Thursday, so hoping that's good news as I said.

I had my medical a couple of days ago on Friday the 11th. I had already submitted DS160 and Readyness form. My case seems to have been update on the 10th, which was a day before my interview. Would that have been for the DS160 and/or Readyness? I am assuming it will update again once my medical results are in? Although it does already say "Ready for interview"

I remember my status on the CEAC site, I have my application number listed 4 times each with a -1, -2, -3, and -4. That only changed and become one when I finally got the interview letter. I guess they complied it all.

Well tomorrow is Interview day !! :wow:
