All things being equal (which we know with this process there's no such thing), I should be ahead of you in terms of the processing.

I am still awaiting an interview date. I'm concerned what happened to Sunya and Tim with a lost readiness form by London is also happening to me.

Filled both DS-160 and Readiness forms on 22 JUL, I had my medical on 6 AUG, not heard anything since, it's been six weeks since DS-160, but just over 3 weeks since my medical (maybe that's the element I've overlooked). My case was last touched 18 AUG, according to DOS that was apparently when my medical results were input/processed.

Starting to lose faith and that my readiness form has been overlooked, surely I should have had an interview date allocated by now?! Well according to other timelines I've checked I definitely should. I've sent London an email but don't hold out much hope for a reply. I will try calling NVC next week to see if I can get any sense out of them. Someone elsewhere said maybe I was too hasty filling my readiness and I should have waited till after or closer to my medical date, but according to the London guide written by Nich-Nick I should have been fine.

Incredibly stressful anxiously waiting for an update on my interview date. Do let me know if others are experiencing the same or if you have any insights as to my circumstances. Many thanks

If your case was last touched on the 18th of August, it has only been approx 8 business days. You can see the estimation of how long many cases take to receive a letter, and you're well within that timeframe.

Sorry for your wait. Indeed, the instructions on the embassy website say that you should schedule a medical before sending the readiness form not that you must've had it beforehand. Like you would've done, I simply put the medical date in the readiness form as asked.

Send another readiness. It doesn't hurt anything.

Send another online inquiry. Pick reason- immigrant visa and subject not covered on website.

FYI-- count your waiting days from when the medical arrived if that is the last thing they received. Six weeks from readiness means nothing if your medical isn't there.

Did you give a planned wedding date??

If your case was last touched on the 18th of August, it has only been approx 8 business days. You can see the estimation of how long many cases take to receive a letter, and you're well within that timeframe.

Thanks for the reply. Agreed it's only been 8 business days since it was last touched, I mentioned that may have been one element I overlooked. What estimations are you looking at? What is that timeframe? I've just been going on others timelines based upon when they submitted readiness and had medicals.

Thanks for the reply. Well, you've been waiting a lot longer than me (Texas backlog?!), here I am moaning about a few weeks. When I submitted the Readiness form I gave my actual medical date, so as far as I'm concerned I followed the instructions correctly. It just so happened I was submitting my Readiness two weeks ahead of my actual medical date.

Send another readiness. It doesn't hurt anything.

I think the impatience among some of us is caused by the fact that, although it says be prepared for a 6 week wait, others have been waiting only 2 weeks to get their interview dates. For me, it's a case of having put my wedding date down and having to hand in my notice in the next couple of weeks to actually be able to make it having served my notice period! If I get my letter with interview date between now and the last possible point I can hand in my notice and still make it for our original wedding date, then I can hand it in and then I've done all I can to get there.

However, they say 6 weeks, so I have to be prepared that it might take that long regardless of when my intended wedding date is. Assuming they take that into account, though., when prioritising people over others.

Checking in here, I mostly hang out in the May filers thread.

Medical was the 24th of August, case was touched the 28th, then again today on the 1st. Hoping for that magical packet 4 soon.

With that timescale, i'm guessing the last touch was them receiving the medical results. I can only assume that for mine too as my medical was the 12th and it was last touched on the 18th, which would make sense time-wise.

I suppose I should be moving on to the post embassy drama thread but I'll just put it here. My fiancé arrived so fast last week, and it's been a non-stop of stuff to do since then. We picked up our marriage license yesterday, bought furnishings, and we just returned home from me showing him our venue. It still feels surreal and hasn't sunk in yet. We haven't yet attempted SSA. Dealing with them probably won't make me happy.

I had a rather pleasant experience with SSA. Just go in prepared with that print out that says you're eligible for a SSN. I didn't need it in the end, the person who served me quickly looked it up in one of her folders and went right ahead with the application.

Yeah it definitely seems to go fast, not enough time to get so much done! Working on getting a car at the moment and that's a bit of a faf. SSN surprised me in how straight forward it was. Straight to SSA office, was a huge queue but I didn't seem to get hung up in that one. Seen in 15 minutes, processed real fast, no questions and out the door. Got my number the next day and "card" came through in a week.

Maybe a silly question, but is that something I can do as the petitioner? Or would my SO need to call?
