My fiancee interviewed on 1/14. Last Friday her status changed to Issued but her son's K2 still remains in Administrative Processing. Has anyone experienced this? What are they up to? How much longer will it take?

Also, when I woke up this morning, I checked the passport status and it now says "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted" instead of telling me it's still at the US Embassy/consulate. Any idea if that means something?

We're just wondering if we're close to receiving the visas.

I know of a few where the K2 was in AP longer.

As for having NO STATUS anymore.... "Elvis has left the building!" is usually what that means.

Hank,on the " elvis has left the building ",we Received a 221g for additional nbi aka. So while dreaming about my family and I being together,I check the status update daily and the "track passport" It has been 9 business days excluding weekends of course. No hit or update on status, still in AP,but now when we track the passport, instead of "at the us embassy" it says " passport number not found" Thinking this could be related to the passport being issued a visa number? Not sure what to think. Cels son who is 10 is in process to come with mom. I haven't checked his yet. Has Elvis really left? Or are they just out of jelly doughnuts for now?

I wish I could say it's done, but we're still waiting. It still says Administrative Processing. Calling the embassy is useless. We just need patience. I wish you the best of luck. This process is very annoying.

Yes it is,especially when you speak to others. My fiancee just got back from her cfo. She spoke to a lady that was issued a 221g and submitted her document 4 months later. She was issued 10 days after the submission.it is frustrating

Once there is no status (nothing) on CEAC and USTRAVELDOC normally it means to start getting friendly with 2GO. I lean toward "Elvis has left the building" at that time.

It's all about patience. You can't wiggle your nose, snap your fingers or stomp your feet as it will not make the visa come any sooner. Patience.....because it moves at their pace not ours.

That's great you have been issued! Wow what a relief. Thanks Hank,I know things will be fine and in the right time. But it is amazing how much better it feels when you can share thoughts about the process etc. Thanks green and thanks hank. I visited my fiancee in January and a few hours after we got home and asleep,I was Awakened by being thrown around in bed. I woke Maricel up and told her we were having an earthquake! She looked at me,hesitated, then told me to go back to bed that it wasn't bad enough. Grrr. 6.4 in my world in a high rise is concerning. Just can't wait to have them here. But then there are those snow ball injuries from time to time. Not to mention we are just very excited.

Hey greenbaum. The stomp your feet is first, then wiggle your nose maybe. Lol all in God's perfect timing. Our paperwork from the nvc took over 30 days to be received,so we had to reschedule our interview, and had to wait 6 weeks to do that before they released our receipt. Sometimes I think we get concerned that our paperwork may be used to level out a table in the lunch room. The embassy is very busy, and they do.a super job,so I really have no complaints.
