Hi, I just had my interview last week and I felt really confident since my husband and i have been together 10 years and had a lot of evidence to prove our case. Unfortunately, the immigration officer was a bi%^$ and 2 days after the inteview we received a letter for a 2nd interview May 2008. I am in chock. She didn't meniton anything when we left, but she wrote some numbers etc in my passport (i asked what it meant, but she refused to answer!). The CR-6 means that my case is still pending, I think. We weren't denied but have to go to the not so pleasant "stokes" interview 1 year and 3 months from now. That's when you are separated etc. I have my work authorization and traveling document, but i'm just upset because I can't for the life of me understand her decision. We decided not to have a lawyer, and that was a BAD idea. If you are approved they usually stamp a green card in your passport before you leave the interview. Hope it works out.

CR6 = Conditional Resident, married to USC

Not all offices stamp passport, it is becoming less and less common.

Never heard of a Stokes interview being done so far in the future.... they are normaly done within a very short time of the original interview...

Are you sure it is a stokes interview.....
