Was never really up in the air, years ago some nimrod had an issue processing his AOS reported back here that you NEED the I-693.... *poof* it was added to the list. Then I come along, read the actual instructions, see that the I-693 is not required, email USCIS and even ask about this, get a reply stating that in most cases the vaccination record is all that is required... most cases - there are those with specific medical cases that must seek a CS, but I believe those are instructed to do this anyway when they arrive (from reading on here there are those with TB issues that many times are required to be examined once in the U.S.).

I was "chatting" with one couple on AOS a few months back, he followed the I-485 instructions and also follow my suggestion (attaching a copy). Then they were required to attend an interview, so he brought is folder with copies of everything along, the adjudicator doing the interview with them said they are required to have the I-693 with that he reaches into his folder pulls out page 4 and points to section 7c ... adjudicator read it, got quiet, then excuses himself to "check on this", came back a short time later stating that "everything is fine, the I-693" is NOT required" ... the AOS was approved. There is living proof the adjudicators don't have a clue regarding processing AOS correctly for the K1.

Thanks for the added information as I am sure it will help those that are in the process of their AOS and wondering the same.
