good afternoon everyone, my fiance arrived last week n in the process of getting her SSN #.

Question:

can my fiance apply and get any sort of government health insurance for the time being????? i can not add her to my work insurance till November of this year.. (COMPANY RULES)

I just want her to have one just in case ....Chicago weather is terrible ....

you can do an individual plan through the marketplace. I have a marketplace plan, and just added my spouse to mine. Be prepared though, because at healthcare.gov they ask alot of income questions. You will need to include your income for the household, but put only your spouse as applicant.

They can not apply for medicaid

Minnesota (that is what your locations says) has a program for low income people who don't qualify for medicaid because of immigration status or whatever else. There is a very small monthly fee.

You can apply through the regular mnsure.org website.

As to regular obamacare plans, there is no subsidy if you are not a LPR.
