Our visa has been "Issued" but we are awaiting delivery. All thats left now is the cfo. I have heard this step is a royal pain in the a$$. Of particular concern to me is conflicting info on "minors" needing travel clearance. Some government websites say she needs it. Though her aunt called the CFO office and they said its not required because she is 19. Also some mention special paperwork for thier guardian to register them for the cfo. Our problem is her parents live in gensan and she ives in Cebu with her aunt.

Can anyone with experienc with this offer some insight?

a travel clearance is only needed if it's minor below 18 y/o

http://www.dswd.gov.ph/faqs/travel-clearance-for-minors/

And in regards with the CFO she needs to get a notariZed parental consent and bring at the CFO seminar.

CFO is going to be a stumbling block if you approach with a negative attitude. I will give you fair warning, the ladies at CFO can break your b***s. They are standing between your fiancé getting off that island and heading to the USA, so I would go easy and follow their rules and be PREPARED!

Head over to Hank's website and tap on the CFO tab and follow it and keep your thoughts to yourself. Your fiancé needs to be on her best behavior. She needs to be confident. And she needs to know a lot about you because they are going to ask and if she can't answer well it won't be pretty.

They have the gold so they can make the rules. She will need the parental statement with her parents ID. You best be planning on what your going to do to make all this happen.

Good luck.

A U.S. passport minor holder no need for cfo right? Only ECC from bureu of immigration? She already had ecc before when we visit hongkong

If you have US passport then you are a USC and don't even need the visa process. Just a plane ticket and your US passport, and you are good to go.

And yes my wife and i spent a great deal of time drilling my personal details so they will all be at her fingertips for the CFO. And she needed them all. Things like my income, occupation, whether my residence is a house or apartment, if I own it, how much of a mortage left on it, are my parents alive, where do they live, my education, my health.

Why they ask so much stuff from ur wife? Did she go on one on one interview? Bc me not anymore and all I did is filled up the form at 3rd floor then waited for the seminar to start and after the seminar discussion where told to go and pay them wait for the certificate and sticker
