ah krud....I just tracked it. It came from Memphis. Now it's in Jamaica NY. which is about 10 miles away. But it's UPS, which means no delivery till monday......

<sigh>

I dun have a kitcheaid thingy....do I?

Yeah I was just gonna use the thing to make the dough, and shape it myself and bake. I was reading the reviews, a lot of people only use it to make dough.

Seems in that case you would have been better off with the Kitchenaid Mixer. More versatile.

What sort of equipped kitchen doesn't have one?

I have some sort of a mixer. Just not the kitchen aid thingy.

But the brad maker is automatic. Just throw in the stuff and it does all the work no?

Bread maker*

If you are just using it to make dough, it is the same as a mixer, then, because a mixer with a dough hook kneads the dough.

I assume it also proves the dough? But then again, you'd probably want to do a final prove in the shape you are actually baking the dough in, like a bread pan or a circle or whatever.

Man do I look like I wanna watch dough rise?

Get with the times man....

You ever buy a butter ball turkey breast?

Technology, not turkey......

look, yer up late anyway, right?

prep all to 'start rising' stage, right before sleep,

then it rises overnight,

then you cook in the morning - pop it in before you start yer shower, take it out after yer shower.

it's dead easy.

getting with the times? for you, that means - no baked bread at the house for the weekend.

no one watches dough rise. successful bakers rig it to rise overnight, whilst sleeping. you remember sleep, right? s l e e p....

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It adds the yeast automatic at a certain time or something like that.....

Says it takes about an hour and change to make dough. I don't like that square shape. I want like a French bread....

i think i see a bigger problem...

i was hoping, if you left a mess in the kitchen, she'd clean it up overnight whilst she's sleepwalking,

but

what will really happen is that if you left out dough in forms/pans to rise, covered by cloths, she'd pitch that as well, not knowing what it was.

so, nevermind.

you need technology to overcome yer housemate, not as any convenience to bake the bread. I feel bad for you, really.

Maybe instead, to have instant fun at home,

you get outside and buy a pink EasyBake oven,

then you and Elizabeth can have more fun together.

Whaddya think?

I've got 1 load of laundry dried and folded, this is bad as I started laundry at 9am.

I never use my kitchenaid to make bread, if i'm not being lazy and using the machine I will make a big batch of bread.

I got this one. The yeast thingy kinda look like a toilet bowl.....

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005QFL0/ref=shptrk_scth#customerReviews

I also bought a new bread knife, my sucks. And a thinga yeast.....

they used like a 2 cu ft box to ship me a campbell soup sized jar of yeast.

I used to get yeast in a can the size that tomato juice comes in. I haven't seen any here that big, I never thought to look on amazon.

Bread maker*

I will use mine bread maker some days when I want a quick loaf without the work.

It does the kneeding and rising so you just need to pop in a loaf pan after. I do let it rest before the oven

I only have nipponese tea, and Monkey pick.

Did you know there was a Monkey picked tea? There's good reason for it. High altitude. Chinaman can't go up mountain and return in 1 day, send trained monkey to pick.....it's a jasmine tea.
