Starting price 37k and it is ugly.

I'd rather a Volvo.

It snowed buckets here overnight. Like 4" probably? Yesterday at 630 it was wet but no snow.

Thanks for leaving us some snow east cost peoples! LOL

I think having a nice yard when you have kids is one of the most important features, especially if you want them out there vs inside. My basement suite in Canada had a stupendous yard! This one is tiny but we can at least put in a retaining wall or teir it so it's more usable.

So we finally changed out the handles n stuff on the shower upstairs. Super easy to do. They needed it. The hot water side was mangled and there was no seal left. Unfortunately it didn't solve all my problems. The tub still leaks at the bottom onto the dryer. I do not want to replace a brand new dryer. I swear our water pressure is way too high as well which is what is causing the water hammer especially with the washer. I have water hammer arrestors on the washer and they do not seem to be working anymore for the hot water. The water pressure regulator in the house is broken so I want to get that, and the tub fixed. I'm sure it'll costs a pretty penny, but I don't want to have to replace the tub (actually I do, but I don't want the cost of it... ) so we're calling in a plumber for that. I'll probably get him to clean out the downstairs shower drain too because I can't seem to get the snake in there far enough to do any good.

We should probably have one of those but I'm afraid if we mess with the plumbing at all we will have to replace it all. I really hate this house at times.

Nik you need a big, or hand built arrestor by the main. It's easy.

The tub needs to be repaired by opening the ceiling above the washer.

yeah I figure we do.

The ceiling is open. That's why it's dripping on the dryer.

Push fit connections are not preferable and they should really only be used if you have no other choice or it is an emergency. Plus, they should definitely not be used at the highest pipe in house if it is in a wall. At least MN code says no push fits in walls because they leak.

Simple fix is more like:

I didn't mean to use snap on fittings, I meant she needs that size arrester.

A pressure reducer valve will not fix water hammering. The hammering comes from the newer type washers when the solenoid in them slams shut and pops open. An arrester reduces the shock the washers create. Having a pressure reducer will simply reduce the hammering, it won't absorb the shock. I know this from my own house.
