i admire people who can keep their houses beautiful and clean, day in, day out. i have a schedule, most chores i do once or twice a week. other days of the week, various parts of the house could use vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, etc, before people come over. maybe i should keep the sliding doors closed more often, less dust would enter the house.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

i know it's not an 'america' thing, i said it was cultural. last night when we were talking, he said that his friends' houses are much messier, the ones who are still bachelors eat frozen/microwaveable meals and wouldn't know how to cook us a meal, so whatever i serve would be instantly better. and he brought up that when we were impromptu guests at his friend's house, the house was filthy (like, cat poop stains on the carpet, dirty laundry flung on the couch filthy). i told him that that's perfectly fine if the house owners are ok with that, but i hold myself and our home to a different standard.

i don't think it's generational either, because his mom is not like that. in fact when she has us over for dinner, she sometimes assigns me something to make beforehand and bring with me lol.

ah - that other demographic - single and slobs. got it. are they gamers?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I'd rather have my salary here and pay state income tax, than have your salary there and pay no state income tax. Ya pole.....

I'd rather have my cost of living here and pay no state income tax, see here man.

I'm going to my parents to spend some time with my nephew and after that I'm gonna take him home to his parents

Familial Asia! Familial, FAMILIAL Asia!

I'd rather live in a high tax state like Minnesota or Connecticut that a lower tax state because the quality of life is better - schools, police, and public projects are better funded.

See above, see ma'am.

Ok I'm off for a bit.

Absent Ontarklar! Absent, ABSENT Ontarklar!

I live with 2 pigs, 4 if you include the guinea pigs, so it just isn't happening that my house is always ready for visitors. Things are neat, but not what I would call visitor clean.

Well, my house is all stone and glass. A bottle of Windex and a paper towel does the trick....

Spot on! I loved Continental. They were nice, their service unpretentious and they crew as nice as they could be. Also, IAH is a great hub, especially for international travelers - a few years back they were voted the best CBP crew in the country... and then United bought them...

You've nailed Continental, si and sigh man.

You've nailed IAH, si man.

CBP rating completely opposite my experiences, grrrr man.

If there were any way to boycott United, it needs to be done, grrrr man.

Wrong airlines buying right airlines, see man:

TWA <--- Ozark

American <--- TWA

Delta <--- Western

Useless <--- Piedmont

Delta <--- Northwest

American <--- Useless/America West

United <--- Continental

Right airlines buying wrong airlines, see fewer man:

Southwest <--- AirTran

Tarklar brings a baga cheaps. (The single serve size)

And already eaten, pre-ingest man.

the ones who are still bachelors eat frozen/microwaveable meals and wouldn't know how to cook us a meal, so whatever i serve would be instantly better.

This is the principle behind accepting & ingesting woman-food at every opportunity, single man.

When single, I chiefly ate over the sink, efficient man.

They are Cannibal huh...

At least someone in this thread follows my efficient, productive suggestions of a few hours ago, hmmmph man.
