they're ok for light duty use Brat. especially spot cleaning. For a whole house......depends on how dirty your carpets are.

cat dander.

musician-dander (many, they rarely bathe daily and shed often)

musician-vomit (often, it's really bad)

I feel bad for her, as she's got cheap-o industrial carpet with [most likely] a 12 year old pad that already sucked up all prior 'stuff'.

so, kitty still has diarrhea. he's also recently started oozing poop paste when he sleeps or if someone squeezes him when he's being carried. we have him confined to the sewing room and i can't imagine sewing/producing things in here with all this poop being tracked around! i'm mostly able to catch him just as he comes out of his litter box and take him to the tub to get clean, but sometimes he leaves a little round spot of paste-like poop on the cat tree while he's sleeping. very gross.

i'm thinking maybe get two-three large $20 rugs from ikea then toss them after his diarrhea is gone.

i just need to clean this one room. but i don't want the carpet to be soggy either. i dunno, i just wish the cat would hurry up and get cured. or that the vet would actually tell us what's wrong with him.

throw rugs make sense, these are from china, right?

if the cat seems lethargic, suggest infant diapers / preemie diapers, for a bit. no, don't laugh..

looking at houses tomorrow! super excited.

an hdb flat? cool !

I've made an executive decision that I'm not talking to T-Bone until he starts using the full range of Arabic numerals. I can contribute to his stunted number use no more.

I hates the math. or lack there-of. Counting is important, numbers have meaning... ####-all, says I. Yes, All. Draw a Venn Diagram, encompass all, report back when able (no no, not really need a report, la)

Where to buy furniture where my cheapo husband isnt in sticker shock and the furniture isnt used.

do you have 'The Dump' in your area? It's a liquidation warehouse.

Wait, speaking of cheap......Where's Farmer Dark.......

Sorry, I gave notice that I'm not around, or not around much, this month.

Whatcha need? I answer emails faster. :D

I think all men hate Ikea.

Despite my limited Danish skills, I had to learn how to ask for ti kødboller, ingen sauce, og kartoffelmus.

bah - i go to ikea to buy kitchen kitsch, repurpose for garden use. 100 pieces of something, bought there, is cheaper than a hardware store or my time in searching the construction sites rubbish bins.

They also have 'leg kits' - which I'll use sometimes, if I'm making a temporary table out of some interesting wood. I even have a set of portable tables that I use at the farmer's markets, about a 5 minute setup time.

But for furniture? to use inside a home? I wouldn't get it, unless I am certain to be taking care of 5 dogs for the season, then I'll shift out my kit, replace with IKea stuff only if I am in a hurry, then that's it. Otherwise it's couches from heavy trash day around town.

jonas is depressed now because we saw what was pretty much the perfect apartment for us at the perfect price, perfect HOA dues, etc, etc, and he was even ready to make an offer today (!?) but then by the time our real estate agent drove back to his office, someone else had made an offer and it was accepted. in 30 minutes basically.

poor guy. he got so emotionally invested in it so quickly.

maybe i'm too conservative but i don't really think we should buy the second house we see. then again it seems like if you like something and you don't act immediately, it's gone.

Welcome to The Game!

This is how it works, always.

Hint - get your agent a cell phone, prepaid for a month, with extra battery.

Speaking of Texas... Bradley Cooper played American Sniper and he was supposed to be from Texas

Holy cow! At first I couldn't understand a word he said! He was that good speaking Texan :P

Hey now....

I met a fella thursday, introduced himself as 'Bubba'. Had the thick Texas accent, really cool chap, into remodeling (his business) and organic gardening (his professional hobby) and I told him - No Way ! What's on the birth certificate?

Texas accents vary by region (remember, this place is huge) but if you slow down yer ears a bit, you can understand it, mostly.

And he's blaming Polish math :P

Just because once when he asked me to summarize his garage sale expenses I said "Many" instead of the exact amount

There's got to be a path to renounce this silliness, and soon.

I must be getting Darkinsons disease.....

I kept thinking it's Friday, and I'm like...."why isn't the indices moving?"

Then I saw the thing that reads "Stock markets are closed", then I'm like..."why are the markets closed on a Friday?"

I rarely lose just 1 day - usually it's 2 or 3, with 3 being the norm.

1a) darklar musta bed many dirty musicians...

1b) not as often as farmers

2) least i no live in a mud house

actually this apartment complex is really well managed. they install new carpeting with every tenant. it does make the move in costs ridiculously high and you don't normally get your security deposit back, especially with pets around. but, that's a fair price to pay.

really nice neighbourhood too, we've gotten spoiled living here. i'm gonna miss this place.

have the husband and krewe build a kitchen island with electrical connections. and drawers. gas burners optional. Don't forget the wheels.

definitely no space for that...

so, you want to rent a house, or an apartment, Kat ?

or a duplex ?

or something else?

Man, if I were searching these days, I'd be looking for an abandoned house, take it over, file the right paperwork, fix it up with thrown-away lumber and new fasteners, and make it 'cheap acquisition'. Sure - you'd be camping for 3 months whilst you fixed up the place, but it's FUN !

as to 'mud-house' - no - I've a mud-room at one of the garden spaces - there's an old farm-house there, about 100 years old, that I totally remodelled inside . The mud-room is a must, as I have to clean up before entering inside the house. But I digress.

You could always get rid of the cat, get a guinea pig instead. Show some love !

1) I had no problems with understanding him later in the movie. Maybe he got rid of his Texan speaking, or I got used to it ;)

2) Even if there is, I don't know it :P

Gun stores in NY are super crowded on the weekends. A lot of "in the closet" conservatives buying guns. That, and there's not a lot of gun stores in the state.

I go during the week. Gimme an excuse to not be at work lol...
