You know I'm always surprised about the school ranking charts. I always think here should be getting a worse grade than it does. Maybe the small towns away from us do better and bring the state average up.

You can check the individual rankings at greatschools.org

We have ###### piled up all over the office, the halls, the basement.....

The great flood of 2006 here destroyed a lot of our ######....

Yeah, you definitely need to rent some storage.

Spot on! I loved Continental. They were nice, their service unpretentious and they crew as nice as they could be. Also, IAH is a great hub, especially for international travelers - a few years back they were voted the best CBP crew in the country... and then United bought them...

I will not buy it if it's Many cents; I'll talk them down to Many cents, si ma'am.

You guys make fun of my GS-ing, but you remain in stunned silence at my "hauls," verily man.

1. Used to be Continental's hub, until the wrong airline bought the right airline, sigh man...

2. Whaddayu mean, "can," huh man?

My boss is like my best friend again, he won't stop yappin to me.....

Bah you have computers it's not hard to keep a log on them and you've already payed for those programs.

I can see that you're not familiar with the operations of a small company that generates a huge amount of paperwork that are not substitutable by electronic files, and there is also a huge amount of data here. We don't have the resources to hire 3-5 more people. The staff has to perform collateral duties outside their general responsibilities. Because they're not familiar with these duties, we must train.

On the other arm of the company, it's the logistics that's the problem. But that's actually pretty smooth....um, it's because the mastermind of that arm, is yours truly :D

Ok I'm off for a bit.

And where, do you think you're going?

The camera should work. If you have not inserted one of those moisture absorbing sachets in the bag with the lenses you may find fungi in them...

<shrugs>

Who knows how the shop stored them.......

I have a couple of guys test them, they said they work, apparently. If I remember correctly, the problems with these cameras were the memory card pins keep breaking off....

it's not just the food. it's the cleaning the house, the getting dressed, having to clean out the cat box before they get here as opposed to before i go to bed, making sure there's ice cubes, etc. i always light the incense burner before guests get here. make sure there's napkins on the dinner table. i just like to be prepared and to have a nice home, especially when people come over.

and food-wise, if it's just us two, we can get by with a simple meal. if guests are here, i want to be able to serve appetizers, a salad, drinks, dessert, etc.

i guess culturally, i was just raised to entertain guests differently. personally i also never go over to a friend's house empty handed. if we're invited to dinner, i bring something, wine, dessert, something. he says it's not necessary.

nah, other strata here bring stuff too.

i understand about the rest of the prep - i was making a joke about goat curry.

Sure, it's a lot of work, and last minute grinds on me also. There was a lot of last minute from whats her name, but I not worry about it anymore.

Well, if I was still with Comcast that is.

This new company might call me "Assertive Biotch".

Seriously, don't tell me nothing is wrong and insist on sending a tech out for $50 when you know you've freaking throttled me.

So, before I even got in, the office girl tracked down the cameras, it was at the shop, in Manhattan. They swear up and down that we picked it up years ago. She laid into them and they found it by tracking the serial numbers. 2 cameras, 4 lenses.

We have cameras in hand. End of business dealings with......um....wth is the name of this Taliban company......

yay office girl ! buy her a nice curry today ! show some luv !

K, I'm off for a weekend :)

Have fun without me :P

kit - when i was younger and poor, if someone invited me over to dinner,

I always brought half a case a beer. minimum. and maybe a bag of nibbles.

as i got older, i shifted to wine and good beer and deli snacks.

just because there's a lack of knowledge about etiquette, doesn't mean it's acceptable, or accepted as 'thats how its done here'.

Perhaps it's a generational issue, hubs not trained up about it at his prior home.
